"Adequate overnight stop off the afternoon sailing from Portsmouth. You can see the hotel as soon as you exit the dock. Late check in available if the ferry is late. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Quite a basic room, no tea or coffee in the room or bottles of water. Room was small with 2 twin beds. Beds very comfortable and shower good. Breakfast was a good assortment, although there were many comments overheard from the guests if you didn't get breakfast early enough all the hot food was...

"We waited 15 minutes to check in while the front desk clerk was outside taking a break. Our questions about the WiFi were met with rudeness rather than an attempt to help. The gate code was illegibly written so it took us ten minutes to decipher and get through the gate. Five minutes before check-out time someone banged on the door like the building was on fire. "It is a great location for this small town, putting you steps from the sand. You can easily walk to all the local restaurants, shops, and the ferry port."

"No air conditioning. Convenient location across from Caen station, but lots of loitering and noise. No staff on site after 11pm, which really makes you wonder about safety and support. Not ideal if you’re looking for a comfortable or reassuring stay."
