"A really enjoyable stay at the Cromwell Hotel in Stevenage. The hotel has a lovely character and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly, professional and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. The room was comfortable, clean and well presented, and the overall service made the stay feel relaxed and enjoyable. A great location too, with everything you need close by. "Initial impression- good. Car park all gravel but plenty of parking. Reception - water on offer but it was empty. Were told our booking didn’t include breakfast but included 20% off food and soft drinks. Nice because we had forgotten. No information on where restaurant or bars not a big problem but it is nice to be told. We booked a table for dinner. Was given our room key. We asked if it was possible to walk along the river from the back of the restaurant… no access it is only from the other...

"After my previous stays at this hotel when it was part of the Hilton Group and I had to stop staying due to the clientele and not been clean or felt safe. The new owners Holiday Inn is a transformation and the staff and cleanliness was 5 star. The room was completely refurbished of good size and clean. The breakfast had a lot of choice, varied menu and superb staff. The reception and lounge area with a bar facility were greatly improved with a coffee / snack bar. There was 24 hour room service...
