"We didn’t have hot water for the whole of our stay. We were told it would come back on after the first day and it did not. The next time they said it we wanted to shower we had to do it in another room, however they asked us to share this room key with other people which wasn’t what we thought when booking. "Loved this place. The setting is beautiful as was our room. A real mixture of old and new that worked perfectly. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we truly felt welcome. We opted for the pie for dinner and I can honestly say, it was the best pie I have ever eaten. The pastry was amazing and it was filled to the max with the ham and leek. "We had reason to request to move room and the staff were very accommodating and looked after us well - top marks for that. The evening dinner (pie of the day) was actually unexpectedly excellent and the accompanying veggies were nice and crisp - very enjoyable. The only minor quibble was that due to TV mounting it was next to impossible to get a HDMI stick plugged in (something maybe to check into). Anyhow, all in all, nicely situated and a nice place to stay at and all the staff we encountered...

It’s extremely dated, the heating was an old electric heater and didn’t really heat the room well, I was freezing and had to put layers on for bed because the duvet was very thin too. The room must have had a dog in previously, I had a really bad allergy reaction my eyes and nose were streaming and when I put my leggings on I had dog hairs all over them. "The hotel is fabulous, the staff are incredibly friendly and the rooms are clean and luxurious. The only thing that could be improved is to fit air conditioning in the rooms. At night the room became quite stuffy and it's not possible to open patio doors at night. Apart from that - amazing"
