"The folks at the New Serkong House provided us with a warm welcome and peaceful stay before and after our 10 days at Tushita Meditation Center. We were grateful for their hospitality and appreciated their assistance and advice.
We especially enjoyed having a beverage on their cafe’s open balcony overlooking the valley as eagles soared by and the sun set over the mountains."
"I not the person who writes negative review on any thing but this time i am very very disappointed how the staff treat with my brother and sister after i left there are a guest too . I have stayed in Hyatt multiple time in all different countries and always referred to all my family’s and friends now i won’t recommend to any of my family & friends this Hyatt dharamshala really disappointed me so i will never re book again, one more thing I left some things behind by mistake but they didn’t even ask me and disposed it, Normal All the Good hotel they ask the Guest first what to do with the things left behind before they disposed. "We have spent over 78,000 rupees for 4 rooms and once I booked the rooms the hotel contacted me and asked me what we needed for my mums accessibility needs. We have even emailed the hotel prior to ask for either a raised accessible toilet seat / commode. I was told that they had wall mounted toilets whilst I was already on the way to the hotel and had set off on a 7 hour journey when they contacted me whilst I had no wifi. I sent pictures of the toilet seat that was required for my disabled mother. Once we arrived at the hotel they said they could not accommodate this. They asked for a further INR 21,500 for an accessible room that didn’t have the height of the toilet seat that my mother required in the emails prior to my stay. I only booked this hotel as it was advertised as being wheelchair accessible and disability friendly. Ishant the front desk member of staff said he could provide a commode for a total of 5500 rupees which is around £50 gbp sterling. This I find disgusting when we expressed our needs as soon as the 4 rooms had been booked. Firstly as if another disabled customer visited this hotel next week how would they then assist this disabled customer with the same disability if they have no interest in keeping a raised toilet seat / commode on the hotel grounds.
Secondly when I asked to speak to a manager for the front of house office this was refused. We were told to visit the restaurant to spend time there whilst they were trying to sort out the toilet seat c"
"Everything was great. the only thing I would mention is that they haven't turned the air conditioning on. the rooms were hot n there were no windows.yhe fan was throwing hot air too.. so plz next time at least mention that the central ac turns on after a certain date.. "
"The room was very clean and the staff were incredibly helpful, including helping me book cabs as a female traveler and to help suggest places for me to visit during my stay. My only piece of constructive feedback was the breakfast, because they didn't have a hot breakfast buffet during my stay due to low occupancy. I understand that they need to be economical about food and certainly don't want to waste it, but then I think that should be communicated to travelers when booking or some kind of discount or voucher should be offered, since we are still paying the full price but not having the amenity that a 5-star hotel should come with. "
"Overall, the staff were polite and courteous, which was definitely a positive. However, the location of the property is quite inconvenient — there’s nothing nearby, and you need to drive at least 30 minutes just to find food outside. The in-house restaurant is quite expensive, and the portion sizes are small for the price charged.
At times, the staff would call even when we preferred not to be disturbed. The rooms also felt dated, and the property does not match the way it is portrayed in the photos.
In summary, apart from the good staff, there wasn’t much that stood out positively about the stay."
"Stayed at this hotel on Temple Road, McLeod Ganj in January end 2026 and honestly had a very nice experience. Food was really good. The balcony view was amazing — you can see Dharamshala and snow-covered mountains, which felt super peaceful.
The place is calm and quiet but still very close to the main square and Dalai Lama Temple, so location is perfect.
Mrs Sonia at the reception was very welcoming and kind, made us feel comfortable right from the start.
Overall, a simple, peaceful stay with great views and good food. "
The Belvedere Himalayan Retreat, Mcleodganj by Leisure Hotels
10/10 Excellent
"The property is very well maintained, with great attention to detail and service.
The rooms with a view has a genuinely fantastic view of the Dhauladhar Range, especially room 405 and the ones next to it.
The food was also great in taste and quality. The breakfast menu is limited but great in taste. "
