"Booked here mainly for the air conditioning ..30+ degrees at the moment. Upon check in we were informed that the air con was broken in our room. They had put a fan in the room so went to see. It was like an oven so politely declined. We were offered an upgrade, but was asked if we were willing to pay the difference ourselves. "Check in could be improved. Arrived to a busy pub with customers waiting for service at the bar and no designated check in desk. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. The room was okay but not as shown on our booking confirmation - it was an attic room with very steep stairs and a not very safe landing area outside the door.
