"Very helpful staff. Not too much noise from the bar and restaurant. My room overlooked an outside seating area which wasn't occupied due to the chilly weather, so it might have been a different story if folk had sat out there noise wise. Bed was really comfortable. Bathrm smelt damp. Key to rm door was hard to almost impossible to lock and mentioned this on leaving. Despite that would stay again."

"Staff were helpful and friendly. Our evening meal was fantastic and great value. Breakfast was also very good with quality ingredients and great service. Sadly our overnight stay was let down with the room not being up to standard. The lock to the room wasn’t easy to open. Areas were grubby and in need of decorating, especially the paintwork in the bathroom. Whilst we would return to eat in the restaurant we would not stay overnight again. "

"We stayed one night last weekend, we had to be moved because the toilet flush didn't work but fortunately that wasn't a problem. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms are far enough away from the bar so as to be quiet. Our only small criticism of room 3 is that it's in the eaves and the shower screen is fixed so it is almost impossible to turn on the bath tap without actually getting in the bath! A silly design fault. The location on the river is lovely and it was good to have a drink outside in the sunshine in April. Dinner was amazing, the restaurant was packed on a Sunday night but service was quick, friendly and efficient. My Asian burger with king prawns and my wife's baby ribs were amazing and portions were enormous; we had no room for what looked like lovely desserts. £60 for this quality of food with a couple of drinks is excellent value. Breakfast was good too although there was not a great deal of choice. We were the only people staying but would certainly go to this pub again."
