"The property is perched high up, some 120 steps up from the harbour. If you don’t feel like carrying your own luggage you can hire the service of a local mule for 20 euros. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable recommending local restaurants. Our room (201) was situated at the end where of the building overlooking the harbour. We had a terrace at the rear to sit and enjoy a glass of wine but this did not have a view. Our shower doors were missing but this was not an issue.s the beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very clean all round. A number of options for the continental breakfast were offered including scrambled eggs and bacon which was bonus. The clock tower strikes at the hour and half hour throughout the day but ceases at 10pm and restarts at 6am! That was a bit of shock after the first night! Access to good waking along the coast of Hydra and island day hoping should you want to. We think you’d exhaust all attractions in 2 days but just watching the yachts in the harbour passes the time. "
"The Bratsera was such a lovely place to stay! It is rich with history and offers premium food options. The rooms are a tad older but that just adds to the charm. The staff was warm, inviting and incredibly helpful. It is close to cafes and shops. Perfect stay for anyone looking for a cozy spot on Hydra!"
"Lovely accommodation walking distance from port. Balcony views and close to restaurants. Only comment is that evening was cool , but only thin sheet and bedcover provided."
"A slice of heaven! Spacious beach with shady and sunny areas. Sandy beach. Gorgeous views. Peace and quiet! Patio breakfast dining. Balcony rooms. Perfect for us!"
"The outside space was stunning at Hotel Pavlou. Decor and outlook was very picturesque. Seafront service at the beds during the day (they even had a paddleboard and dinghy free for guests to use) and watching the sunset in the hotels seafront restaurant, Thala Sea was perfect. Food was very good, generous portions and competitively priced. Julia was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive.
The hotel foyer and corridors were modern + clean. The rooms were tired and old looking. However, they were functional and it was all about outside. We would definitely stay again, despite it being a 30 minute + walk from the port. Being beachside was more convenient than being in town. The reception called a taxi at your request, costing between 5-7 euros, dependant on drop off spot in town. Poseidon fish redtaurant served gorgeous food. Best meal we had. Taverna Rota was also up there; serving traditional greek food and the waiters were happy to make recommendations according to your taste.
The walk up the steps to the clock tower is steep, but, wow! The views are worth it and there's a lovely breeze up there. Poros has more to offer, we will be back. "
"This place is awesome. The staff is great especially Maria! You walk up and give them your name and go to your room. Check out is pay the bill. If the egg at breakfast has been out a bit they offer to make a new one. Quiet at night. You do need a car as it is about 1.5 kilometers out of town. I’d stay again in a minute."
