Central to nearly everythibg we wanted see and situated right near a shopping area. Fantastic view and location. Especially from the roof top at night. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again!

The hotel was in a perfect spot for walking, dining and shopping. We walked to the Acropolis from there. The breakfast was very good. Staff was very helpful. The rooftop deck was amazing during the day and especially at night with the view of the Acropolis lit up. Would highly recommend.

The Plaka Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to the metro, shopping, dinning, sights, and night life. Staff were pleasant and helpful. As for our room, it was very small and noise carried from our neighbors room. This is a boutique (small hotel) with around 75 rooms and is located in a safe area.

The location is perfect; walk to everything. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Ava. We got excellent advice re touring options. Rick Steves provided his expected great advice for eating and walking tours.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was an awesome location. We walked all over and were within walking distance to acropolis. Lots of shops and restaurants all around and tons of shopping. The place was clean and the beds were super comfortable. Happy with this stay!

The hotel is excellent and ideally situated in the centre of Athens. The staff in particular deserve praise for the wonderful service provided. Their kindness and help was much appreciated when my partner tripped and fell in the street outside.

Excellent location. Walking distance to all the popular sights. No need for a car if you stay here. Great breakfast. Very nice staff. Rooftop has amazing view of Parthenon. The only complaint is that the glass wall in bathtub does not stop the shower water from getting everywhere. But other than that it’s amazing!!

What a great location! Our first time in Athens (won't be the last) so we wanted somewhere with good transport connections & not too far from the Acropolis. The Plaka Hotel was everything we hoped for, stunning views of the Acropolis from your window, as well as from the rooftop bar. The staff were great, very attentive and so helpful. The rooms were a good size with a fridge to keep our chocolate bars & baklava cool. Plaka is a vibrant area, with plenty of things within easy walking distance. The bars & restaurants cater for all tastes, so what's not to like! Would love to go back, but experiencing Athens in the winter made the climb up to the Acropolis easier than in the height of summer.

Great Location
The staff where friendly and helpful. Quick no fuss check-in. Room requests ignored though. Our room could have been better, you could hear all the street noise below (4th floor, city view) our balcony couldn't be used as it had x2 air con units and a massive plant on it. The church bells also went off every hour so woke us up early. Our bath was broke, shower leaked, fridge had clearly leaked as the surrounding areas were badly water damaged, overall the room was run down but spacious. Wifi great. It was enough because of the location but if you want nice or luxury, this isnt for you. Breakfast, enough food and great choice but there is not enough tables for the guests. So you may have to wait for a seat. Location, the reason we picked here with the price we paid as well. AMAZING. you can walk to EVERYTHING. 5mins to the station (airport metro) furthest sight seeing was the stadium 22min walk. Everything else 5-10mins. TGIFs and Starbucks 2min walk. Loads to eat places on the door step, supermarket next door. It is scruffy with graffiti and alot of homeless. Loads of shops near by, local nik nack shops, and main zara/H&M etc shops but they are repeated and staff jump on you like flys and then may as well link your arm as you walk around looking at anything. Bottom line - Good for a short city break to see the sights and have a bed and shower.

Two out of my 4 nights stay were excellent. Unfortunately, I had a group of American girls staying in the rooms around me who were obnoxiously rude and inconsiderate of the other guests on the floor. They checked in quite late and thought it was ok to be loud for a couple of hours. I called reception and was told that they have just arrived and they will settle soon. Couldn’t believe that was the response I received. The next morning at breakfast, the lady who comes around to ask the guests if everything was okay with your stay , was informed about those noisy guests . Obviously nothing was done about it because my last night there I had to make 2 calls for reception to get them to keep the noise down. I was literally listening to the conversation the 2 girls were having next door to me . The hotel should have addressed my concerns that morning when I advised the staff member at breakfast. I did say something to them as I checked out . The male staff did address the problem when I called and I thank him for doing this . Overall, the hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to everything . I had a room with a view of the Acropolis. No self serve laundry facilities but there is a laundromat 3 minutes walk around the corner that will cost you £ 5 . Hotel was going to charge £15 . There’s a small supermarket around the corner so you can stock up on water and drinks and put them in the bar fridge . Breakfast was nice . Staff kept everything clean. Nice variety on offer.

Great hotel, close to most of main attractions.
Excellent customer service, they even offered us continental breakfast at 2:30 am because we had to leave that day at 3:30 am. Highly recommend.

Good place, acropolisiew, breakfast, rooftop
Not my first stay in this Hotel, stayed there 3 years ago during covid, still good. Good price with acropolis view. small room but the view is good, breakfast is okay too. The rooftop terrasse is nice, they could put some more comfortable lounges there instead of the chairs they have to make it nicer to stay up there to enjoy the sun and view. Bar only opens at 6pm. Very close to monastiraki Metrostation. Right in the middle, if you have acropolis view also very quiet as it is away from the busy street. Beds are very comfortable. Can recommend and would book again.

Prima hotel in het centrum van Plaka. 50 meter van de Ermou 9 dé winkelstraat door Athene. 3 Minuten lopen naar het Monastiráki plein. 5 Minuten naar het Syntagma plein en het parlement. De wisseling van de wacht op zondag 11.00 uur is een aanrader. Tip: ga helemaal links in de hoek van het plein staan. Beste zicht. Keurige hotel , goed geïsoleerd, dus geen geluid van buiten. Goed ontbijtbuffet. Alles ruim voldoende aanwezig. Wij komen regelmatig in Athene en zullen de volgende keer zeker weer Plaka Hotel boeken.

Perfect stay.
We had a lovely stay at the Plaka Hotel. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. If I was going to Athens again I would definitely stay at the Hotel Plaka. Perfect.

Das Plaka Hotel liegt zentral in Athen. Die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten erreicht man innerhalb von 20 min zu Fuß. Die Zimmer waren ausreichend groß und wurden täglich gereinigt. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, neben dem typischen Frühstücksbuffet waren auch griechische Spezialitäten vorhanden. Besonders toll fanden wir die nette Geste vom Personal beim Frühstück jeden Gast persönlich zu Fragen ob alles in Ordnung ist und Ausflugstipps für den Tag zu geben. Ein Cocktail auf der Dachterrasse ist ein Muss. Wir kommen gern wieder.
