Quite surprised at the place. For the price, I wasn’t expecting much. Far exceeded my expectations which was a total bonus. Clean, easy check in and helpful staff.

I had to call the number on the door to get a staff member to let me in so upon check-in. Not a big deal for me though. The lady at the desk was super friendly. We asked to rent a cot, since we’re a family of 6, but the only available option they had was an old camping camo cot. My husband slept on it and as sore and in pain the entire next day. The kitchen floors were sticky, the carpet was filthy and crunchy, there were pee splatters on the back of the bathroom door, the counters had marks and water spots on them (clearly they weren’t wiped down properly before we got there.) the bedding was definitely not washed before our stay as well. The TV had these annoying ads that kept popping up during our movie. There were only 2 towels available and when I called the front desk to get more, nobody answered. All that being said, I feel bad writing this review, only bwcause the lady who helped us was quite friendly (I suspect she was the owner?). But the level of cleanliness (or lack thereof) needs to be addressed. My in-laws live in Athabasca, so we come here often. I will never book back in here again. This was hands down the filthiest motel I’ve ever stayed in.

Breakfast was advertised but bread and a toaster with coffee is not much of a breakfast. The one thing I was not impressed was the cord for the bedside light was connected to the plug with marrettes - electricians will know what I am talking about. Not a good thing.

For checking-in in the middle of the night, I was overly impressed with the friendliness and service. Even though my room was only a few doors down, I was walked to it and shown where it was, which was very thoughtful. I greatly appreciated it as I was very overtired and it was late at night. I’ve stayed here before. The kitchenette and full-size fridge are terrific. The motel is older, but kept very tidy and everything works. Lots of parking. Great rates.

Found a fingernail clipping on the bathroom vanity. There is also a notice that if you leave any dirty dishes you MUST leave a $10 tip. I would hope that with Covid they are washing all dishes between guests anyway but maybe not! Only dealt with one gentleman at the front counter, he was very friendly.

Great option for a stay as you enter Athabasca. The rooms were very clean and had well-appointed kitchens with shared BBQ outside. I was most impressed with the staff who took a genuine interest in our stay and wanted to make it as enjoyable as possible.

This motel was a pleasant surprise. Very clean rooms, and check in was a breeze. The gentleman is so nice and went the extra mile for our stay. Pet friendly and everything you need right in the room.

Nice quaint little property. The rooms are dated. Old furniture and fixtures but more importantly, the rooms are clean and everything worked. Very friendly staff. Took the time to walk me to my room and showed it to me to make sure it was to my liking. I don’t get that type of service in 4 star Hilton or Mariott

I liked the location. Also I liked that the rooms had to kitchenettes and they had barbeques. I found the beds not to be the most comfortable

Warmly greeted by host William. He upgraded the room. Comfortable clean room. Complimentary breakfast featured fried eggs & toast. Good coffee. Several BBQs were in the guest area -- nice for those who have tired of restaurants fare.
