Room is reasonable for 2pax. Had a sea facing sunrise view. Breakfast is highly recommended. There is an Onsen fee. Property is under some sun membership and so was shouted at, denied and chased away from parking nearest to hotel. After some 30min negotiation, was granted a lot.

Very difficult to access the Hotel as there is no parking at the street entry level. The taxi dropped us off at the adjacent Hotel. The fact the Hotel does not have its name on the outside of the building adds to the confusion. The Hotel does offer a great view but the facility is tired and in need of a remodel. The staff however is excellent and made the stay more enjoyable. The internet photos do not represent the current condition of the Hotel.

Resorpia Atami was excellent. The staff were helpful and accommodating. They also provided a shuttle to the station. The view of the water was amazing. I usually take pictures of the front of the hotel where I stay, but this one was impossible because the lobby faced the water. Access to the main road was on the roof floor. The onsen is on the 5th floor, and it was too cold walking from my room to the end of the hallway to reach it. Overall, I had a great experience staying there, and I wish I could have stayed longer.

I’d try somewhere else

Overall, I wouldn’t stay again for many reasons nor would I suggest booking here. The number one reason was the staff was actively not helpful, rude at points, unprofessional in the Onsen, etc. I stayed at 12 hotels in Japan this trip and I did not experience that at other hotels. Quite the opposite, at the other hotels the staff were so welcoming and friendly and made sure we had a great experience. Also, finding it and parking were a disaster, so I called the hotel asking for assistance and they just hung up on me. When I finally found it on my own, they told me I could just park wherever in public parking many blocks away. It was extremely frustrating and difficult to navigate and again not a good experience as I’d had other places. The room was clean, it’s outdated and probably a little over priced, but all and all the room was fine, nothing crazy either way.

This hotel needs overall update. My room had a tatami living room space and two twin beds. The carpet under bed needs ripped off gets new one. Bathroom is unit bath style and very tiny. If you are tall, your leg touches the door when you on the toilet. Onsen is wonderful, I enjoyed looking out the ocean soaking in the onsen.

Staff was not very helpful and spoke no English. The hotel restaurants were booked out and we had a hungry child to feed. We asked where we could find a restaurant and the staff was not able to give a satisfactory answer. I would not recommend the hotel at all.

Check in staff was rude. Showed me a piece of paper in English (was instructions to check out) and asked me to “check it”. He wouldn’t allow me to read it on the spot and asked me to move away from the counter. It wasn’t even busy at the time. There’s mold in the air vents at the reception. I hope they clean it cause it can be dangerous to anyone’s health who is exposed to it

Building is old but well cleaned. Nice ocean view! Two Big downsides:( The hotel is a bot far from station, and there wasn’t enough shuttle bus for everyone to use at the time of checkout. We were refused, and had to call taxi and pay for it. Be sure to reserve shuttle bus seats the day before!! Also, the large bath is not locked and the entrance is connected to public road. No supervision nor check upon entry. Anyone who knows there’s bath has access to it, it would be so easy to enter & tamper. I didn’t feel safe about this.

チェックアウトは機械での精算でしたが、何故か私だけ部屋番号を聞かれ返却した鍵をボックスを開けて探されてしまいました。入湯税や宿泊税はチェックインの際にこの方から渡された紙を見て部屋で精算済みです。その旨伝えると「たぶん大丈夫かな〜？」と言われました。他の方も並んでいる中で。何の為に事前精算システムを導入されているのでしょうか？わざわざQRコードを読込み、クレカ情報とメールアドレスを登録し、メールで届く認証コードを入力し、スムーズな精算処理に協力しているのに、何が「大丈夫かな〜？」なんでしょうか？言葉遣いも如何なものかと思います。そんな失礼な事をするなら事前精算システムなんてやめるか、もしくは機械のところに人を常に置いて全員の画面を確認するべきです。 不審点があったなら、何が不審なのか説明するべきだし、問題なかったのなら明確にそう言うべきです。 徒歩のため屋上から出ましたが、作業をされていた方が「ありがとうございました。」と目を合わせて素敵な笑顔でおっしゃってくださいました。立派な制服を着て仕切っている方より、よっぽどホスピタリティ精神のある素敵なスタッフさんで、人によるんだなと思いました。
