"Our check-in was seamless, and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, both during check-in and check-out. We had access to the Executive Lounge. The staff in the lounge were extremely attentive, engaging, and throughout our stay made us feel special. We ordered room service and the food arrived in a timely manner and was very tasty."

"Always love this property. Very quiet. But room was very hot when I got there - which I was able to fix by opening the patio door and window in bedroom. I’m sure it was because I got a very early check-in. Staff are always so great and were able to accommodate my early checkin"

"My husband and I stayed here for one night. There are more pros that cons: Pros: - helpful friendly staff - location was great - room was clean - bed was very comfortable - tv worked great (it's always disappointing when you can't stream your own stuff, this worked really easily) Cons: - rooms could use an upgrade, has that “old hotel” smell in the room. - bathroom needs upgrading, our shower was confusing as the controls seemed to be installed backwards for the hot and cold functions....

"The whole thing was just “meh”. Nice enough, I guess. Parking is $30 extra per day which they didn’t mention until I checked in. But they did waive one day parking when I mentioned it. Neighborhood is typical downtown vibe, complete with random shouting, swearing, and homeless approaching. Centrally located, close to lots of stuff. Beds were comfy, elevators are slow, nothing special, and a bit overpriced. Will choose another place next time."

"Il s'agit d'un hôtel complètement désuet. Il n'est pas mal propre en lui-même mais c'est tellement vieux que ce n'est pas très intéressant. Les télévisions n'offrent aucune option puisqu'elles sont très anciennes. Je crois qu'ils sont présentement en train de changer de bannière et de refaire l'hôtel. Il y avait des travaux sur deux étages qui réduisait considérablement la disponibilité de celui-ci. Vérifiez correctement avant de réserver."

"Booked for the pool. It was under renovation - was not informed. Room booked was not clean upon check-in (6pm) so given a smaller room that did not fit the family. Then was given two rooms but not adjoining. The hallway reeked of pot and therefore lingered in our room. We cancelled our second night and stayed elsewhere. "

"The rooms are very basic, clean, comfortable bed, very affordable with restrooms and showers down the hall. If you simply require a place to sleep in the Whyte Ave. neighbourhood, the Commercial is a good option. The historic pub downstairs is a bonus. Lots of dining spots within a couple of blocks, plus the nearby Farmers Market, bookshops, and many great local businesses. "

"Great location, close to a variety of food establishments and relatively close to retail locations such as Staples. Only hiccup was the time it takes hot water to get to showerhead (older buildings). Otherwise staff were great and hotel is well maintained."
