"The room was lovely, very clean and just all round nice. The bathroom was outstanding with the loveliest of baths. The staff were very polite and courteous with one member of staff going above and beyond his duties. Tom, not only cooked the most delicious breakfast, but he also cleared inches of snow off our car so we could get on the move, safely. The night before, we also got chatting with one of the waiters at dinner. He was a lovely gentleman too. Nothing was too much for them. Amazing...

"After the hustle and bustle of the city, Chapel of Barras was just what the Dr. ordered. I’m traveling for pleasure, but also to finish a book I’ve been putting off, and this was a perfect stop. It was peaceful, quiet, perfect for my early morning yoga—followed by a delightful and filling homemade breakfast—a couple hours walking, then plenty of uninterrupted time to put pen to paper. Michelle and David were especially lovely: 10/10 would recommen. "

"The room was very clean, bed very comfortable. We arrived late due to the snow delaying us with blocked roads, and detours. The restaurant had closed, but they opened it up for us. The fish and chips were great. Great full Scottish breakfast set us up for the day. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay again if up that way. The staff are very friendly and could not do enough to help. "

"Absolutely loved this quirky castle. The owners was so friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable about the castles history and did a personal tour which I loved. His love for the property showed so much in this tour. Breakfast was delicious and left nothing to ask for. Would stay here again. No complaints. "

"We booked an overnight here while attending a surprise 50th birthday party. We were met by Bruce who showed us to our apartment, we were over the moon with it, it was absolutely 1st class. We finished our night off in The Star Hotel bar downstairs, so was just a short trip upstairs to bed, which i thought would have been noisy tbh, but we never heard a thing. We would definitely recommend staying here, great little place."
