"This is a wonderful gem! The old character was just what I hoped for and more! The grounds were relaxing, especially the orchard. The history book in the room was fun to read. "Lovely quaint hotel. Staff attentive and helpful. As per other reviews yes there are no lifts second floor rooms are a slight hike up. Yes the rooms could do with upgrading but for what you pay for a night and an ease of access to the port no complaints from us. We had a family quadruple room, good size but really warm room, no air con small windows but lots of road noise when open"

"The place is very basic and comfortable. The room was very clean. We weren't able to adjust the temperature in the room which we would have liked. We did all at the desk but it's possible that language differences made our request useless. It's a great base for Normandy sightseeing."

"We chose this as a base for Dday activities (over Bayeux). No regrets. The room was spacious with a view of the sea. The staff was lovely and we could walk into Arromanches in about 5 minutes, which had shops, restaurants, and a museum which provided great information on naval landings (Overlord and Dragoon) which we didn’t get anywhere else (all outside the museum)."
