"The place architecturally isn't "beautiful" or "luxurious". However, it is sparkling clean and has all the amenities you can think of. Everything just works. The staff are super helpful. I had some laundry that needed to be done and they were able to help me out. I had some things that needed to be air dried and they were able to accommodate. "Very friendly hotel. Lovely Scottish lady carried our bags upstairs and made us drinks with chocolates when we came in after dinner. Cosy room and best beds ever!!! Bathroom cold and a bit old fashioned looking. Needs renovating. We ate at Sauda in the town as the restaurant wasn’t open. It was very nice. Good breakfast. Lots of parking."

"The location is very good - close to the city center, but far enough to be very quiet and peaceful. The views are amazing. The hotel room was large - much larger than rooms in any comparably priced hotel in Iceland and in much of Europe. The facility and the rooms are updated, clean, and functional. "We had a mix up in our reservation but Natalia was very helpful and resolved it to our satisfaction. We were traveling with our teenage grandson and both Ava and Natalia made sure he was served food for a growing boy. We stayed in the new separate building and were very comfortable."
