Room number 9 is awesome

Beautiful room, very nicely furnished. One of the few in Iceland that had a tv in the room. Close to town with several options for dinner.

Great place

Such a lovely guesthouse. We only stayed for 1 night as a family of 4. The room was large, very comfortable. The sgarzd kutchen and dining area allowzd us to feel at home. The location is fantastic with great views. We were able to use the facilities inc. Sauna and hot tub. The breakfast was a delighful surprise. We can only recommend it

A great place to stay. The accommodation is in the countryside, which makes it very quiet. The surroundings are also very beautiful. The rooms are well equipped and clean. The kitchen is also well equipped. We would have liked to stay longer.

Amazing property and great service . One of the best properties I stayed at during my 8 day trip where I was staying at a different place each day . They provide free breakfast and also have hot tub on the property where I can see the mountains while sitting in the hot tub. If it was possible to give more than 5 stars I would give it. Hands down one of the nicest property .

The location is wonderful. Especially loved the horses greeting me on arrival and again the next day. Also loved the hot tub and sauna with a view. Everything looked new and clean. Loved that the bedroom was in total darkness even with 24 hours of daylight.

Cozy getaway

Very nice hotel in beautiful location! The views in and around were incredible. Mountains to both sides with incredible views even in the breakfast room. We were there when the day was 22 hours long, at the night it was still pretty bright, and the blackout shades were not great at achieving actual darkness in the room. This is a problem we had with 5 of 6 of the hotels we stayed at in Iceland, so not atypical. Sauna and hot tub, both had nice views, were also very nice. The many farm animals were friendly.

Good clean property for one night stay. We used the kitchen to cook a simple dinner since we checked in rather late and don’t want to drive another 14KM to the nearest town for dinner. The staffs are very friendly. We were told at check in time that the continental breakfast is included in the price which is a nice surprise. Overall, we had a great stay and definitely recommend it.

It was a gorgeous and well-put together place with chic decorations and modern necessities, the hot tub was amazing to sink in after a long day as well. The breakfast served in the morning was delicious and nutritious, not to mention the small dog was adorable! It was very well-behaved.

karuna Guesthouse was one of our favorite properties. We were greeted by the owner and shown to our room. They room was SPOTLESS and large with a tea kettle, tv, full bathroom and hairdryer!! They have thought of everything! There is a free breakfast included, and also use of a kitchen. A superbly clean and wonderful place to stay!!

Karuna is in a very quiet quiet area. There's a vast land and mountain ranges behind the property. There's a beautiful restaurant in the property. There's also a common kitchen, equipped with everything you'll need. Our room was very spacious. It looks like a newly constructed place, or just well maintained. It has a home-y feel. It also has a hot tub and sauna facing the mountains. It's a good place to stargaze and try to find Aurora. Although it was cloudy that night, so no luck for us. We'll definitely go back if I happen to be around the area again.

what a gorgeous place. the surrounding is beautiful, the rooms are great BUT, we could NOT take a shower, because the hot water is natural volcanic water which smells and we did not appreciate the fact that we did not know this. the place is immaculate hot tob, sauna overlooking the mountains. just sad about the hot water.

Very quiet room in a very quiet area

My room (separated rooms from the main section) was dead quiet throughout the night I stayed. Anybody who wants tranquility should book these type of rooms. Shared kitchen was bit crowded at late hours. The cooker had 4 positions but they were weak in power. Breakfast included but only basic continental type. There are chickens, horses, and a house dog in the front yard. Dry type Sauna and a hot tub was ready outside.
