Stayed for two nights during a business trip to a local client, great place as a change to usual hotels I use and I will certainly stay here again. The owners, who also staff the Chateau, were very friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious and the room I stayed in had so much space with a great view of the garden.

An interesting old property with lots of original features. Our dog loved the spacious, secure back garden. The bar and restaurant are very comfortable and our evening meal was very good.
The husband and wife team purchased the hotel 2 years ago and are trying extremely hard to bring the property up to date. The business model is one of home from home with home cooking (the food is delicious) the rooms and bathrooms are huge. This is certainly a property to keep an eye out for as this will gradually improve. Its very near Calais so works well location wise. Dinner was good value for money and tasty. Please note to book ahead for dinner. May we wish the owners much luck for the future.
Lovely young couple run the chateau and they do everything they can to make the stay perfect. We had dinner which was a fixed menu but really good quality. They gave us a choice of pastries for breakfast. Just a short journey from Calais.
This hotel offers a very personal level of service run by a young couple. Communication from Thomas was excellent.
The Chateau is located in a small village . Parking was plentiful. The rooms have plenty of character and are large and spacious. However the mattress on the bed was a bit hard for me personally. As a suggestion, a foam mattress topper might be a good idea.
We were offered a 3 course meal which we took advantage of especially following a 6 hour drive from Colmar.
The dinner was superb and obviously lovingly prepared by Thomas’ wife.
We had an early start the next day but Thomas ensured we had some croissants and coffee before we left.
The Eurotunnel is about 45 minutes drive away.
We do recommend this hotel and would return.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Château de Moulin le Comte. Lovely to see a young couple living their dream of owning a Château. Very much like the UK television series Escape to the Château.
I urge people to stay at the Château de Moulin le Comte you are supporting real people giving real service.
Our room in the Château was large with its own large bathroom and toilet. The location is great for channel ferries and I will definitely stay there again and stay a couple of nights to explore the area.
We stayed overnight on our way back from the South of France. It is a beautiful place in a tiny village. Our room was lovely with a huge comfy bed and a large modern bathroom. The shower was great with plenty of hot water.
We couldn’t check in until 4pm and the door is locked at 11pm but this wasn’t a problem for us. It was quiet and peaceful and exactly what we needed after a long drive.
We ate dinner and breakfast and both were delicious. The hosts are really welcoming and made us feel at home. We would definitely stay here again.
Rooms were clean and the house has beautiful ornate rooms. Beds were comfortable. Overall though, this was overpriced as many elements felt like money saving opportunities for the owners. Tea and coffee in the rooms were very basic, bread and pastries at breakfast tasted cheap (possibly from a supermarket rather than a proper bakery) and the limited buffet selection was what you would expect from a much cheaper hotel.
Grand architecture and interior. Lovely rear garden. Friendly welcome. Wholesome tasty food.

Lovely overnight stop on our way home from France at this very grand-looking home. The owners, who treat clients as house guests, gave us a warm welcome and provided us with a delicious home cooked dinner. Morning fresh bread and pastries collected to order by mine host for breakfast accompanied a good buffet. Comfortable bed, clean linen and ample parking. Very good value too - we will be back.
Have been befor and enjoyed my stay very attentive host i love places with character its good value they do five vourse evening meal..reasonable price a delicious. Also less than one hour from Calis
This was the most inconvenient and inappropriately advertised stay I have ever encountered. We booked on Expedia and specifically looked for regulations as we are familiar with French properties having special or unusual restrictions than USA. I combed through this adverstiment with a fine tooth comb and found nothing other than check in stops at 11p. We arrive and during check in we were notified that doors lock at 11p as well we will have no access to our room daily from 11a-4p. This, we were told, was due to local regulations. Again, nothing of this was mentioned on Expedia. We arrived late so we checked in and stayed the night. We booked this stay for 2 adults and 1 infant. When on vacation or traveling, our hotel is supposed to be our place of rest however here you are denied access to the room you pay almost $200/night to. This is ridiculously unreasonable, especially for us with an infant that has daily naps. We addressed this with the property owners and after some discussion we told them we are leaving and we would like a refund for the nights we did not stay. We booked a total of 8, we slept 2 and they only refunded us 5. There was also no heat. They had space heaters in each room. The toilet didn’t flush properly and the shower made a screeching noise when in use. I respect this is an old property, but this was us accommodating them and not vice versa. The handing of finances is beyond nickel and diming. Clearly they don’t understand the business of hospitality.
