"Lovely location and room sea view was spectacular over the rock pools which were lovely to swim in. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and also gave us a packed breakfast/lunch when we had to head out early on tours. The roof top pool, sauna and jacuzzi were lovely to relax in at the end of a packed day. Only downside is the infrequent public transport to Funchal so you will need to catch Bolts so end up pricey. "while the weather was beyond anyone’s control, I had such a cozy stay and was perfect for the R&R that I needed. The grounds, the room and the entire property was so delightful though there were other guests. I don’t think I saw even one! It was truly so lovely in the rooms. "Clean, quiet, and friendly staff! The view could have been better if there was not a big tree infront of the balcony obstructing the ocean view. The A/C was a big plus in the summer. The amenities looked great ( wish they were open later in the night after a long day of hiking, we did not have time to use them during the day) breakfast was very good. Lots of variety! Parking was ok."

"The hotel was beautiful, our ocean view room was great and the staff were very kind and helpful. The only downsides are that the hotel is far from Funchal and most other tourist landmarks/hiking trails, which is inconvenient. Also, there are a lot of hidden costs, like the poolside beds, laundry or spa services. Overall it was an amazing stay if you want to relax but if you want to explore the island I’d recommend staying in Funchal."

"Das Personal war sehr vorzukommend und hat soweit wie möglich alle Wünsche erfüllt. Das Hotel liegt in einer schönen und ruhigen Umgebung in Sao Vicente. Nach einem aufregenden Tag konnte man gut z.B. am Pool und im Whirlpool abschalten. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten gab es auch. Ein großes Lob ans Hotel für die schöne Atmosphäre und das Feeling."
