We have had the best five day stay at the hotel. The reception staff are simply amazing they even gave us a welcome drink upon arrival, told us everything we needed to know about the hotel and surrounding area. They have been so helpful, informative and generous, nothing was too much trouble. Sofia in particular helping us with our car hire needs. We've made amazing memories and it was so lovely to return to this haven after a long walk a welcoming place in a fabulous area. Honestly we have loved everything from our truly scrumptious breakfast which catered for everyone. From fresh warm bread to stunning fruit, fresh croissants and warm food. Freshly squeezed juice. All the staff from the cleaner to reception were just so kind and caring. We would not hesitate to return.

Our stay here was lovely. Great restaurants nearby and all within walking distance. The parking situation was a bit of a pain and be careful of the homeless people who hang around the area at night time. Otherwise great stay.

We stayed here as a family of four, in two rooms, in February and we were super impressed with this hotel! Firstly, it’s really stylish and we were treated to a room upgrade. The staff are really friendly and the rooms are really comfortable and spacious, comfy beds and walk in showers. Downstairs in the lobby is a pool table which my teens were happy with. On the roof is a lovely pool, although it’s quite small. We enjoyed a bracing dip though! Breakfast, now this was just delicious. Everything you could ask for and plenty of it! Fresh fruit, pastries, cold meats/cheeses, cooked breakfast. All displayed beautifully. Happily recommended this hotel, we were really sad to leave!

The hotel was overall pleasant. The staff was really nice and helpful. The pool was really not swimmable since the water was absolutely freezing (that tells much coming from someone from Finland). The breakfast was quite limited and the kitchen seemed to be understaffed, the coffee machine was horrendous since you never knew what it would spit out, if anything. The instant coffee in the rooms was poor quality, even after using two servings, the "coffee" tasted more like aromatized water. The housekeeping staff was friendly and effective, however one thing that struck me odd was, during our stay (10 days) the sheets were not change once, I'm sure they would have once asked but in that humid and hot environment it should really be done at least once a week without ask.

Lovely place to stay

Very nice and comfortable hotel located in a charming village, set on a street with several restaurants and bars, and just a one-minute walk from the sea. The rooftop pool area is lovely, offering a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful views. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good variety, and the team was friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. Highly recommended!

Cozy hotel in a perfect location 👌

Wonderful Hotel in a nice location. The service and people at the hotel was amazing. Lovely pool on the roof also. Perfect after a long day out sightseeing. Restaurants directly outside the hotel reception... Stay here, and you will feel at home. Cozy feeling 😁👌

What a lovely find! Beautiful village with an easy walk into Funchal along the coast. Amazing decor, good breakfast and lovely rooftop pool - really relaxing with a good choice of restaurants near by. Excellent helpful staff - would definitely go back!

The worst experience of my life! The selected property didn’t let us in the room after a long day out because we had a guest friend and not only that, they blocked our room at 1 am and we couldn’t access the room or the pills I had to take urgently. Very rude front desk stuff told me that I should make my friend leave the property just because I invited for her for a glass of wine until her friend pick her up because she was staying somewhere else. I told the front desk that we are going to leave all of us and that I need my pills and he still wouldn’t let us in the room that I paid for. So I had to call the police to be able to access my room, this is unacceptable we came to visit Madeira for few days only and after a long day out at 1am I could not access my room, and had to call police to be able to get in. I told them I won’t stay at this property because of his rudeness and zero knowledge in customer service, and he would still not let me access my things and my medicine. I was shocked that I had to call police to be able to get my stuff out of there. I expect all the money back! This was the worst experience of my life, I travel the world, Ive been to 40 countries and I never encounter someone that rude and unprofessional!

Das Personal war immer nett und hat immer versucht zu helfen. Die Unterkunft war sehr leise. Das Bett bequem. Einziger Punkt Abzug war, dass das Siphon am Waschbecken undicht war... Gaaaanz minimale Schimmelflecken an der Silikonnaht der Dusche (war wohl gerade der Anfang einer Schimmelbildung, noch nicht schlimm, sollte aber beseitigt werden). Der Aufenthalt war insgesamt super. Frühstück immerecker und reichhaltig. Wir würden hier wieder herkommen. Vielen Dank, für den schönen Aufenthalt 😊.

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen. Ein Super Poolbereich. Die Zimmer sind renovierunsbedürftig aber sauber. Das Frühstück war super. (Eine gute Auswahl an Allem.) Das Personal war beim Frühstück nicht sehr Aufmerksam und oft etwas hinterher. Insgesamt hat es uns aber sehr gefallen. Auf den Straßen ist immer was zu entdecken.
