"The room was gorgeous and spotless, which made it such a shame that we didn’t sleep. There was a loud, continuous noise through the night, possibly from a generator, and it kept me awake. I was exhausted the next day. Parking was a little difficult, and the surrounding area felt quite run down. We didn’t see any staff, but that wasn’t a problem for us. The room itself was lovely; unfortunately, the noise really affected our stay."

"We stayed in this beautiful farmhouse for my 50th birthday get together. The hosts really have thought of everything. Cold sitting outside? The hosts have provided blankets, towels for the hot tub are stacked in the boot room nearest to the hot tub. Children attending are fantastically catered for with a range of indoor and outdoor games (we packed some but didn't need them). Holiday reads are neatly stacked if you forget your book, there's a doll's house for younger children. Outside there is a...

"The staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially when I couldn't open the key cabinet. Dinner was quite excellent and reasonably priced. Room was larger than expected but TV reception was patchy and screen kept freezing perhaps due to poor Wi-Fi reception. One thing to remember, they do not have allocated parking - whilst there is a large car park behind it is £2 for 2 hours and £6 for a day but keep in mind the gates are shut from10pm to 8am which is unhelpful when you need to leave...

"Decent apartment, aimed at long stay I’d guess. Comfy bed
No toiletries, would have liked tea, coffee, milk, kitchen roll or something kitchen wise…and a dishwasher rather than a washing machine…but as I say fine for longer stay
Also lounge sofa smelt bodyish
Good communication though "

The lady at the reception was very kind to me and helped me when there was an issue with the booking as Expedia had not sent the booking through properly and she still managed to find me a room. "The location is remote, peaceful and lovely. It's an old building and full of character with huge, comfortable rooms. All the staff were helpful. Breakfasts were a little limited, but adequate. We didn't enjoy the one dinner we had, but it was good value. Overall I'd recommend this hotel for its excellent value accommodation and location."
