We really enjoyed our stay at the Fort Road Hotel. The room was lovely and the hotel has a great look and feel with beautiful art throughout. Fantastic location near the Turner and lots of great restaurants. The only small downside was not being told much about amenities like bar hours, the rooftop ...

Friendly and knowledgeable host Nice quality breakfast Decent size room Good location for the beach and town. Dogs stay for free. Bus stop only a metres from the front door. There are a few parking spaces or on road parking. Bus stop right outside for regation

Turner contemporary museum
Beautiful coastline and some lovely places to wine, dine and shop, sadly the amenities in the area are somewhat neglected .
It's a great place with lots of character. We've been 3 times this year!
Margate is changing rapidly but also keeps it's identity. There is an evident divide between the working class locals and the sporadic wealthier tourists. Not everybody's cup of tea I presume but it is something we personally love.
