"Excellent accommodation and wonderful hosts We had the pleasure of spending three days and three nights at Arcadia Lodge in Russell and truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. "This property is located in a beautiful quiet serene location where you hear the birds and nature right outside your door. It's a very calming place close to town but feels miles away. There is a nice pub/restaurant within easy walking distance. The check in was super easy and I would definitely stay there again. "

"The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a cabin with its own amenities, but we did scope out the shared kitchen and it was spacious and clean. It is pet friendly, there were other people in campers and RVs who had dogs with them. The owners also had a friendly little fur baby who was one of the highlights of our interactions with them. I recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again."

"This is such a lovely retreat, all credit to manager Kelly and her family. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and it was much appreciated. The refurbished rooms were nice, clean and warm and the private shower was awesome. We had an awesome time and were lucky to see two kiwi on the grass near the bush even though it was raining, and we heard lots more. It was really magical!"

"Our hosts were amazing, they welcomed us upon arrival, assisted with our luggage and provided some home made baking. They host a very high quality continental breakfast with home made bread, eggs cooked to your liking. Extensive knowledge of the area, lots of maps and recommendations, would highly recommend staying at Allegra, we actually stayed an addition night as it’s the perfect location to base yourself in the Bay of Islands.The views from the rooms are amazing looking over the harbour to...
