"This place is a diamond in the rough. A lovely quiet reprieve from the business and dusty streets. We loved Tilcara for its history, food, authentic nature. It was so nice to be able to walk to the nearby square to eat and explore and feel safe. Large rooms, comfy beds, great staff, lovely breakfasts. Would highly recommend. The many stairs only added to the charm and the view. "

Great location with easy parking and short walk to restaurants, etc. Tilcarra is a great village to base yourself in from which to explore the surrounding region. Great hikes in the area. The pool was literally half-full of water, the room was tiny with absolutely zero sitting area in the room (just a bed cramped in the room), and there was zero circulation or air conditioning.
