"The Oberoi property is well maintained and has the charm of old days which may be off putting for some folks but we like the hotels that maintain the service and aesthetics rather than modern built. Staff is very well trained and polite. The food is excellent with great Indian selection which helped us as we were travelling with parents and the taste buds were well suited :) The only downside is the beach area around the property is bit dirty which obviously is not in the hands of the hotel...

"The property was fairly run down. The handles were coming off the doors, the door pane was half off, the water pressure for the shower was really bad, the shower leaked through the bathroom leaving the floor slippery and anything on it wet (had to use my bath towel to mop it up). The location was really noisy, all you hear are reving of scooters and beeping. Lighting in the rooms were really poor. I had to use my phone torch to see."

"Villa Kayu Raja is in a good location, but not really walkable to restaurants or the beach, especially at night. The sidewalk ends a bit before the villa, so you’re left walking in the busy street. The villa itself is nice, but I was unimpressed with the private pool. It is very small and the yard itself is deceiving in size from the pictures. Virtually no sunlight comes into the pool area as well, so the pool is a bit chilly and you aren’t able to do any sun tanning. The price is a bit steep...
