I stayed in Jan and we had lot of snow - probably ~60cm everywhere which was not cleaned so it was very difficult to park on the street. In this hotel I felt isolated from the town centre and cafes and shops. The hotel is very basic and my double room was tiny, too small even for a single occupant. The hot water ran out first day we came back from skiing and I had to take a cold shower after spending the whole day on snow. If I go again to Saint Gervais, which is really beautiful and charming btw, I will stay in a hotel in the centre where there id ample choice of many amazing cafes, pastry shops, bistros and restaurants.
Nice hotel convenient for town centre and ski lift
Facilities were good, food good, staff obliging.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
good value but only at special deal price
Typical French hotel food ok but better restaurants in the town. Stairs difficult to negotiate with a suitcase definitely built for the young sporting type's . However all that said not bad value for money.

Good access to Mont Blanc
This hotel was our clilmbing HQ for Mont Blanc and the surrounding area. We could walk from the hotel to the Mont Blanc Tram. Saint Gervais provides plenty of restraurants without the crowds of nearby Chamonix. The hotel owners were helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean though some maintenance could be done on the bathrooms (I stayed in four different rooms and all had some issues, usually with the shower head). The laundromat accross the street is great for washing your climbing clothes before your trip home as the small rooms and lack of air conditioning can make it hard for your things to air dry if you wash them in the sink. Not all rooms have desks and there are not many outlets, charging your phone next to the bed will require a long cord. Ate dinner at the hotel twice, the food and service were good, comparable to what the nearby restaurants offer. Did not have breakfast as it was much cheaper to stop at a nearby boulangerie for fresh baked croissants and quiche.
V friendly and nice and comfy. Not 5 star but we slept well and views were fab. Easy to get into town and ideal if you have a car for hitting the slopes though ski bus stops just outside..
