"Good hotel, might look dated in some aspects in the common area . The room I slept in seems to have been modernized but the tv system is cruelly small considering the distance from the beds. A better isolation from the pool section might be desired . Rooms 1,-5 are passing close to the pool section ..."

Pods in a beautiful rural area
"Beautiful, quiet location. This is not overcrowded, there is plenty of space and the facilities are clean. The site is well thought out. The pods are below a small hill/cragg, with lots of wildlife. Deers can be seen along the ridge line during the evening. Plenty of walks nearby and further a field. ..."

At this time of year it is very quiet which i like. There's a number of good places to eat. There are a good range of independent shops as well as others. The scenery is fabulous and there are lots of walks and hiking opportunities.

The visitor's centre at the dam is definitely worth a visit, explaining the history of how the dam was built. Home baking in the cafeteria was delicious!
