Bavarian Village Guest House
This is an excellent choice for those who want a genuine touch of Bavaria. And especially if you have some German and would like to meet some locals. Key staff do speak English. Actually a sports club for city dwellers who want to get away for a weekend in the country. (Salzburg, Innsbruck and München are only an hour away.) This is a fabulous rural location, about 30 minutes walk to the nearest village. An ideal location for those wishing to attend the Erl music festival.. A charter bus came to pick us up and brought us back promptly each night. Highly recommended. We look forward to staying here again. Fantastic walks, ski lift in summer. Idyllic. Enjoy!

The room was pretty basic but what one would expect for a ski resort. It's a cute little village but a little drive to get to skiing area. Loved it!

Cosy and spacious guesthouse
It was absolutely OK for the price and the star-level. Cosy and large bed, ample space in the room compared to the 15 m2 "standard" hotel rooms, ample size shower (!) as well. Very friendly staff and owner, definitely running the extra mile for their guests. When I had to leave early and could not get breakfast, they arranged for me a cold plate for the evening, and asked their staff to prepare an early breakfast next morning. They serve all the local meats and sausages, plus smoked salmon, cooked eggs, all kinds of teas and the usual caffee (both long and espresso), jams, butter, cereals, everything. Name your favourite breakfast selection and they have it. They also do all the fresh bakery, rolls and like, plus the usual German-style brown bread sorts.

Schöner Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen
bei Ankunft war mein Zimmer noch nicht bereit. Ich konnte mein Gepäck jedoch im Nachbarzimmer unterstellen, mich umziehen und schon den Tag in den Bergen genießen. Das war sehr freundlich.
