Skyland is set in a wonderful position just off Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park and has fantastic views.
The accommodation is very dated and needed a bit more maintenance. The food was not exciting and quite expensive- we were glad we had taken some provisions with us from which we managed to make our own breakfast and lunch. The room had a good coffee machine but no fridge. The bed was comfortable.
Exceeded our expectations for a National Park hotel. We had everything we needed, including a balcony with a view of the valley. There are a lot of hiking options nearby, as well as a restaurant, park shop, and Starbucks walking distance from most of the cabins/rooms (up a hill in case you have someone with mobility issues). They left extra towels in one of the drawers as well.
