It was a pretty good resort the staff was amazing. Everything was good. But the BIRDS!!!!!!! Holy crap! I know they are birds it’s hard to control it but there are soooo many. Pooping in the pool they literally are inches from flying over your head. We have stayed at resorts before that have been monitored by a hawk to keep birds to a minimum maybe this can help. All in all it was pretty quiet and nice but it’s hard to enjoy the pool since you can’t get into the beach with a million birds flying over you and dodging poop.

Why did it cost more to stay at the RIU Palace Baja Called California when all the RIUs are next to each other and offer the same amenities? The gift shop was SMALL and prices were BIG! Ridiculous prices. NO SHOPPING TO SPEAK OF. The photographer took photos and when I went to buy them, they wanted $100 USD for one photo!!! A digital photo — not even printed!!! That price was OUTRAGEOUS! Why did more entertainment events take place at the RIU Santa Fe when the Baja California is an Adults Only Resort and, by logic, more entertainment should have been offered at the Baja — to adults. The entertainment at the RIU Palace Baja California was very, very amateurish and very, very poor!

As a single male at this property, it had everything you needed to have a great time… tons of great food, shows, access to the other rius nightclub and pool parties… access to beach, balcony rooms, many other singles, weddings, bachelorette parties…Only thing I would change is I would have definitely upgraded to the oceanfront room. Would definitely stay here again. 5/5!

Dont ever go to a steakhouse at an all inclusive and order Ribeyes, shoe leather. All other resturants were AWESOME!
