The actual room was lovely but cold. Checking in was difficult all staff was in the pub not wanting to support. Seems they wanted to drink whilst i was trying to check in with a poorly tired baby. All signs says check in at pub but it wasn’t easy.

This was a pleasant average room with a very comfortable bed. Bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. We didn't eat at the Hotel so cant comment on that. It's adjacent to the pub but there was no noise or problems with that as it all seemed to wrap up around 11. A very pleasant stay and would use again

Woodcocks, January 2024
Typical chain hotel room adapted for handicap/wheelchair access and wet room. Shower head was adjustable but wouldn't stay in position. No toiletries provided other than shower cream in dispensers by shower and washbasin. Room was very noisy at night as it was next to the laundry and the washing machines could clearly be heard through the wall, although the train line that ran within about 50ft of the room was barely audible. Food was available at the pub, a short walk from the hotel. Typical limited pub menu, food was average but staff were very pleasant. We ordered service on the pub app which worked well and ate at off peak times, perhaps more staff are on duty at busier times.
