I've never written a bad review before, as my standards are incredibly low, but this place needs it. Showers were only freezing cold, no heat, "free wifi" is advertised but in reality you cannot even load a google search with the network (so you must use your mobile data). Reception is always empty, and I had to wait over an hour waiting there to check in til I had a fellow backpacker help me out. I could bring up other issues (no toilet paper so you gotta hold it in, no main light, house-cleaning not cleaning my room since the last people, etc) but complaining is not my thing at all. I just want everyone to know what they may expect from staying here. There are many better alternatives at a similar price to this place.

Staff didn't realize they had a guest checking in and were not prepared for us. Room was dirty, blood splatter on sheets, no deadbolt on door (only doorknob locked). People were noisy downstairs, we appeared to be the only foreigners staying there which was fine but wasn't the hostel experience that we were expecting. Tried to get a refund for our five night $90 stay and the hostel never responded, Expedia wouldn't refund since Deejai Backpackers didn't respond.

Greate place, amazing staff and rooms were shared but well kept also stayed in a single room room which was very nice . Good communal space and food. The swimming pool area was very cool and overall good vibes.
