"This hotel is great and we couldn’t fault our stay until check out time..... we had already paid for the hotel prior to our stay yet we were asked to pay again for the room! Apparently the hotel has recently changed hands and there is some issue with the accounts transferring over so the hotel isn’t currently receiving the payments people are paying ( going to the old company). "Great location, room and bathroom great size. Bed comfortable, staff friendly. Old building and rooms due for refurbishment but that did not impact my stay The bath in my room was very high and may be difficult for older people to get in to also quite a few stairs to room. Not keen on the restaurant food that I had. "

"Building and rooms a little tired. No air conditioning and when asked receiption about the loud banging noise in the air circulation unit was just told to turn it off! Room didn’t have the water that should have been provided as part of the room, however when questioned this was provided without question. Cleaner never came but again reception sorted for us. "Well what can I say. Second visit to this fabulous hotel and again I can’t fault it. From the moment you walk in the grand front door, checking in and going to your room it is a delight. Lovely restored old property sympathetically completed without spoiling the grandness. Large bedrooms continue with the grandness. Breakfast, choices extend to salmon dishes with poached eggs etc, alongside the usual buffet style hot options and cereals etc. Looking forward to returning to this magnificent hotel...
