Basic motel off the main road down the Esplanade. Nice quiet area. Rooms are all renovated and bathrooms near brand new. My only gripe is the beds are too soft.

Disappointing
Rooms are small cramped and seating is very uncomfortable. Upon arrival staff were not very accomadating or looked very friendly at all. Heres your room key its over there basically bye

Lovely cottage. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Beds comfy. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Location is excellent. Walkable distance to supermarket and town. Across the road from the river walk. Would definitely stay again when in Westport.

Good value.
Stayed 2 nights. Very comfortable room with small kitchenette. King size bed was very soft but it was quite comfortable. Has everything you need for a few days stay. Only con was no bedside lockers so nowhere to put a bok or phone etc.

Wow, more than I expected!
Whoa, this motel was more than I expected. I stayed in a super nice & clean studio, and so big & spacious that I could’ve fit a family of 6. Even the bathroom was big! The studio was bright & cozy, and there was also strong wifi in the room. It has a full kitchen with stove top and everything you need to cook. Each unit also had a parking space (though I didn’t need it since I was traveling by bus). The motel is located in a quiet neighborhood, and the lady at reception who checked me in was super friendly & nice. The next morning after I checked out, she offered to give me a lift to the hostel where I was going to hop on the Stray Bus. I only ended up staying 1 night at this place, but I definitely could’ve stayed longer, even if it’s just to chill & relax at this place :-).

Good lighting
The unit has ceiling and bed lighting which makes reading and laptop use easy. Unfortunately, many hotel and motel rooms have poor lighting. Big plus for us.

a basic motel when you need somewhere to stay..
we only stayed for one night as we came over to Westport for a family funeral.we were a bit dissopointed that we could not have the motel until after 2pm considering that we needed to get changed to go to the funeral, and had to go to the local toilets to get changed not very considerate really.I had asked when we booked if we could get in early and was told no. as the sevice for the funeral was 2pm.

Guttering was probably unable to handle the down pour we were having at the time, cant help mother nature at times.We are also considerate to people coming through for funerals and a straight out no would of not been our answer, as we have been extremely busy here I would assume our cleaners were still cleaning rooms at this time, which is beyond our control. So we apologise for any inconvienence caused to you, we are pretty leniant here at our motels.

Great location. Handy to everything.
Enjoyed the nice linens and new appliances. We rode our bikes around the town to the very helpful staff at the information centre. Nice safe trail out to the surf beach and to the lighthouse.

Nice Westport stay
I stayed one night on my way to Karamea. It is in a peaceful location and a short walk or drive to the Main Street for cafe’s and supermarkets. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure and hot water.

Över förväntan!
Vi sov här en natt på vår väg från Abel Tasman till Franz Josef. Vi hade tur när vi anlände 21:30 och receptionen fortfarande var öppen, information på Hotels.com sade att incheckningen var till kl 22 men i verkligheten stängde den kl 21. Kvinnan i receptionen var mycket trevlig och berättade för oss det vi ville veta. Rummet var ljust och fräscht och större än vad det hade sett ut på bilderna. Köksdelen fullt utrustad. Presskaffet var ett stort plus! Badrummet var helt okej, enda minuset var duschen. En aning dåligt tryck på vattnet plus svårt att reglera värmen. Andra plusset var deras wifi, mycket bra! Skulle utan tvekan bo här igen.
