We loved the antebellum homes and decor. The gracious hostess / manager was so welcoming and answered any questions that we had.
Will definitely be back.
In the past we have stayed at the Steele House and enjoyed it as well.
Duff Green Mansion is a beautiful bed and breakfast place to stay. We were welcomed by two amazing ladies! Our room was clean and Beautifully decorated and painted. The bed was very comfortable. Self checkin was so easy and convenient. It’s location was close to nearby attractions in the city! Can’t wait to try their breakfast in the morning! Duff Green was a great place to celebrate our 51st Wedding Anniversary! Wonderful memories were made in Vicksburg!
It was an amazing experience staying at this property beautiful and very rich in history great staff super friendly rooms are very clean definitely will be staying again
Perfect weather, perfect location, quiet, and love the antiques. Love how the mansion was kept as much as possible like in the day. Breakfast was wonderful!
Highly recommended this place. It’s an historical mansion and each room is different and beautifully decorated. The breakfast is served in an amazing room and the table is set like in the 1800´s. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Just a short walk downtown where you’ll find some restaurants.
This is in a gorgeous, historic home in Vicksburg within easy walking distance of all of the downtown and riverfront sites. The breakfast provided is AMAZING and all of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful We would happily stay there again if traveling that way.
Highly recommend. The house is beautiful, rooms very clean and comfortable, staff very helpful.
The breakfast served with southern elegance.
Do not miss the after breakfast informational tour.

The staff is absolutely wonderful, and breakfast was delicious. Great place for history buffs or historical home fans.
The peoperty was an historic building and fit in well with my cross country route. Staff was amazing and although i was leaving prior to breakfast...they went out of thier way to make me an omelet...super amazing visit
When we found this B&B online before our trip we worried that it couldn't possibly be as good as it looked.
We were very wrong. This is such a beautiful place to stay, a must if you are in Vicksburg.
The mansion, the tour and the staff are wonderful and I would definitely return if I am in the area.
After arriving at the mansion the outside looked quite rundown (house dirty, paint peeling) and the neighborhood surrounding the mansion was a place I did not want to leave my vehicle on the street over night (if you have a larger pickup there is no place to park off the street). We did not talk to the staff or go inside. We made our decision to get accommodation elsewhere based solely on the looks of the exterior and the neighborhood.
Communications left a lot to be desired. Room had a very mildew type of smell. You could not run the ac unit below 72 due to "leaks from the ceiling". Obviously, this is not ideal for late July in Mississippi.
Pool was beyond dirty. One of the worst B&B experiences that we have experienced over the past 20 years.
The breakfast and tour were fantastic. The Hideaway suite needs to be taken off the option to stay in until a major renovation that goes with the period of time in which this house was built is done. The decor and flooring were shocking in this room. The grounds around the building was completely neglected. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful old mansion and it fit perfectly with our trip to explore history…. Easy walking to town (albeit with a steep hill climb back!). The communication prior to our arrival was very thorough. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend
The Mansion itself was impressive. The room was comfortable and suited to a tourist - not set up for working at a desk. Breakfast offered a choice of a communal table where co-guests could introduce themselves. The home-made biscuits were a small treat.
