Happy Customer

Most times that I have stayed in this place the cottages were clean. This time it was not. I still enjoyed staying in this place. I like their settings and variety of camping sites, camper sites and choice of cottages. The pool was closed due to covid.

Home base for Joshua Tree National Park

Excellent location to explore Joshua Tree National park! Not real fancy, but very clean and comfortable! Definitely would stay here again.

Good

The room has a perfect amount of space, the staff is very friendly and the welcoming. Only problem was our room seemed like it wasn’t thoroughly cleaned, there was hair in the shower, sink and even in the toilet for some reason. Other than that everything was great!

I read the reviews of this location before making the reservation and I had my doubts. However, I took the risk of trying it since is so close to the Joshua Tree park. I don't regret it. I arrived super late at night after the office was closed and they made sure to make the key accessible to me. The cottage was clean and comfy even the air conditioner was on. It has a nice golf park behind the premises. For he price, I t was a good choice. I will definitely be back.

One night stay, pleasant surprise

This was a delightful surprised - not what I expected from an RV Park. It’s a small apartment, well appointed, with comfortable bed, couches, kitchen, a big bathroom and very conveniently located near Joshua Tree park entrance. We didn’t have time to enjoy the community pool and hot tub. There are kids running around but it was still quiet and peaceful once inside. The only thing that bothered us was that the cleaning supplies used in the place seemed to have irritated both of us and we were sneezing and coughing a lot, so I’m not sure what a longer term stay would feel like.

Im sure the RV portion was nice, but we stayed in a cabin. Dirty toilet bowl. No headboard on bed, really old faded stained bedding. Dirty carpet. Overall worn out apperance. At 138.00 per night i would expect better. Kitchen/fridge was very nice and clean. Coffee pot had hard water stain. Glad it was just for one night.

29 Palms Resort - Inexpensive & Nice

We stayed in one of their cabins on May 24-25-26, 2019. First a couple of notes: I never spoke to any management other than to call and advise that we would be arriving late. There is a sign that says after hours check in, and right below it is a bulletin board, you have to keep looking down to find the late check in info. That said, check in was very simple. The cabin was a small one bedroom with a double bed, a full kitchen including pans, plates, utensils, fridge, microwave, coffeepot and stove. There were only a couple/few of everything, as this is a room for 2 and not designed for a family of 5, so in my opinion what was supplied was fine. There was a small living room area with a couch and recliner. There was paved parking next to our door (great as we were on a motorcycle), and a back patio area with a gas BBQ Grill. The cabin was clean and well kept. AC worked great, and the double bed was comfortable. I am 6ft tall, & the shower was at a comfortable height for me. The Wifi worked most of the time, but we were not there to surf the internet. I do think better WiFi would be important for those staying longer than a couple of days. The camp ground was quiet and from what I saw of the grounds it was kept up nicely. It is a desert, so do not expect a lush grass area. The site was easy to find, and my GPS took me directly to it. Since we were in a cabin, I cannot comment on any of the RV hookup or parking. We will come back again.

My flight was delayed so I called the office during business hours to let them know but it went to voicemail. I left a message and then had my sister call a few times, she didn’t get anyone either. The office closes at 5pm and I wouldn’t arrive until 6pm. My sister went down to the property and checked me in without any problem. When I went to the office the next morning to make sure my check in was ok the lady at the desk said “oh, I just listened to your message”. Not sure what I would have done if my sister didn’t help me out.

It doesn’t look like much at first but you can tell everyone there feels at home. You get a room with no noisy neighbors on the other side of the walls. The kitchen and living room area were very spacious and the bedroom made it feel like home. Great place to stay!

Disgusting! Town people are not friendly.

People in town were weird. I called in advance to see if pool was heating and was told yes but it was broke! Apparently broke for a week. It was freezing! We went out of our way to stay there because we seen they had a nice big indoor pool.

When we arrived to check in they said we had no reservation and no rooms available. We called the evening before to confirm check in time and request an early check in told everything was good to go. Lady at the front desk had no referral suggestions, she did help in calling a place my daughter gave me nearby.

My husband and I went to Joshua Tree for 2 days and decided to stay here because of the kitchen provided. It was a nice and clean kitchen, not so big but enough for 2 people. My only complaint is that they didn't have VCD/DVD machine in the room, which they claimed they have in their hotel.com page. We ended up playing cellphone game the whole night.

Quaint and efficient

It was a one night stay after we dropped off our son at the Marines base. We had some time before dropping him off so it was perfect to cook dinner while watching football. The only problem was that the bed sheets were not changed before we checked in and were a little dirty. Other than that, we enjoyed it.

Comfortable with great views

I was looking for basic accommodations that were dog-friend, and this cottage fully met that need. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The carpet and linoleum were a bit dingy, and the place could be dressed up a bit, but I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Cozy

We stayed in one of the cabins. Very nice & clean! Looked like everything was new. The living area was very cozy. The kitchen had everything that would be needed, minus the food. The only thing missing were tvs in the rooms & wifi.

Not a Hotel

This is *not* a hotel. This is an RV resort with furnished mini-houses that you can rent by the day or month. We had two separate bedrooms with a full kitchen and a little outdoor patio, complete with grill. It's a little far out of town, but that means quiet and we really enjoyed the stay.

Great place to stay to visit Joshua Tree NP

Booked a 1 bedroom cottage for 3 nights for my first trip to Joshua Tree. Kitchen was nicely stocked with bowls/plates/utensils, gas stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer. Could've used a sponge to do dishes more effectively. Living room was nice, spacious. DirecTV with a nice selection of channels, albeit on a small TV. AC units in the living room and bedroom were nice and cold. Bed was a bit stiff and springy and a bit small for 2, but it got it done. I had some kind of wifi while I was there, but I wouldn't guarantee it since it wasn't the same network they suggest. Try a couple of the non-password protected ones and you might get lucky like I did. There's a grill and patio area in the back, but we didn't use it. Great rates, nice place, and great location to get to the north side of Joshua Tree National Park. I always appreciate a place to stay with a full kitchen. Would definitely come back here.

Wonderful

The room was wonderful, spacious, fully stocked with plates, bowls, and so much more. Only down sides was the kitchen stink and the ceiling fan blades were dirty. The cable card in the box was burnt therefore no cable. But we didn't need it. Our favorite part was the horse shoe tossing ring, which was a ton of fun. Staff was very nice

Joshua tree national park

If you're visiting Joshua tree national park this place is close. The facility has lots to do...pool, etc. The little cabin is ok. Needs some updates. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Nearly as expected, but great perks!

Arrived at the resort (RV park beside a golf course). Our reservation got messed up but there was still a cottage (mobile home) available. Arrived at cottage with all our food for the propane grill... No propane tank on grill. Wifi not working. Staff was great and really worked to sort things out. Got the propane, wifi fixed on 2nd day. HUGE pool was great. Hot tub was hot. Sauna was perfect. Lots of perks. Close to Joshua Tree National Park. The experience was about expected for the area so was not too frustrated. Extras were a surprise so Overall have very fond memories.

I'd never been to Joshua Tree National Park, so my friends and I decided to go. One of my friends has a service dog and this resort didn't give us a bad time. They were really great.
