"Great stay- best in Kuta for the money. A little rare gem tucked away in the back of an alleyway. Close to bars and restaurants but quiet and SPACIOUS! I was so surprised by the Japanese style construction of the room, its big and has unique accents that made it stylish. The bed is nice and the bathroom is big too. I've traveled all over SE Asia, and the air conditioning here is the best I've ever had. Maybe a funny comment but it REALLY matters when the humidity is above 80% and you feel cooked...

"It was low cost but Very Nice. Last December renovated, up to date. I did arrive at 12:30 am but no one there at desk. But that was resolved and got my room by 1:30 in morning."

"Villa Kayu Raja is in a good location, but not really walkable to restaurants or the beach, especially at night. The sidewalk ends a bit before the villa, so you’re left walking in the busy street. The villa itself is nice, but I was unimpressed with the private pool. It is very small and the yard itself is deceiving in size from the pictures. Virtually no sunlight comes into the pool area as well, so the pool is a bit chilly and you aren’t able to do any sun tanning. The price is a bit steep...
