No air condition when 29 C outside, really too noisy, receptionist didn't speak english, no roof top as mentioned.

I really liked the area we were in in terms of being of walking distance to the main part of Rome. However, the conditions of my room were decent on the surface, but the bedding was not clean. I broke out from the bedding and saw spots on it. Was not happy about that part but other than that, it served its purpose.

The hotel doesn’t appear to have much sound proofing, I could hear people on the floor below and above and in either side singing, coughing, stomping around, showering and flushing at all times. The bed was very firm and pillows even firmer. Finally, the bathroom had a persistent ‘drain’ smell that I couldn’t shift. My son’s room was clean without any unwanted smells in the bathroom.

Staff was very kind. Location is excellent. The downside is the parking: the person in charge is super rude and asked us extra cash from what agreed with the hotel. Hotel refunded us so that was ok. Room was very spacious. Needs renovation.

The property was great. The room needs a dresser. We were there 12 nights and still had to live out of our suitcases and only 6 hangers in closet. The day desk person was not friendly/helpful. Basically no concierge help. The computer offered did not work, kept dying.

No luggage storage service
The hotel doesn't provide early luggage storage. We arrived early and were given a choice of bringing the luggage with us around or paying an extra 40 Euro for early check-in. Place is out of the way, far from the nearest train station. we have no choice. Bed is hard, literally, you can feel the mattress spring pressing your body.

Hotel stay was great. Staff was friendly. Hotel was close to public transportation and local eateries, restaurants and market. Area was safe to walk at night or early morning. Would definitely recommend.

Not worth 240 euro per night. Rip off it should cost half its price. It's a shared building with private residencies, elevator very slow and busy. The a/c out of control, noisy and not adjustable at all. Early checkout at 11am and not possible to do any later. Hard mattress and lean cheap pillows. Been in adjoining room and could hear EVERYTHING from my neighbors

The staff upon arrival was not very helpful. Due to out cruise arrival, we arrived earlier than our 3:00 PM check in. We asked to store our luggage but we were informed the storage was full. He could offer a room but it was not the superior that we had reserved. We took the room rather than wait 6 hours. They never offered a reduced price and the room was small ant the shower stall had a lot og mildew. Very disapointed. Will not return

Just try Best Western Astrid hotel Rome
Check-in goes so fast. Firstly before getting there all details will be sent to your email. So handy the way they put the most important details on the key cover. Just try the hotel once out. Nearby several restaurants.

Best Western Astrid located within walking distance to Fountain de Trevii, Spanish Stairs, Vatican and many other sites. If you good walker you need around 6 hours to capture above mentioned. Otherwise it is very close to variety of public transportation…tram, bus, subway… The hotel is nice but we were in the higher end Best Western Hotels in the past….good breakfast….

Staff are friendly, although not truly bilingual they did try and do business in English with us which was nice. On the few times I asked staff for help they tried to fulfil our requests which is great. The property is clean and our room felt well cleaned when we returned to it. The buffet breakfast for us was quite limited. luckily there was a carefour nearby where we brought our own fruit (bananas) and yoghurts as there wasn't any offered. On our floor, was a very old laptop, we tried to use it to print our bording passes but it was too slow. reception helped us do it from their own computer later, thankfully we were not in a rush. It is true there are restaurants all around the hotel, by the time of our stay only 2 had above 4* ratings so for lunch and dinner there are limited local options. The hotel is a short taxi ride from downtown roma however leave plenty of time as taxis can take more than 15 minutes to come. There is a tram stations nearby which I would recommend. the tram is safe (and almost free) you can take it to flaminia and then take the metro onwards. For its price this is a great hotel, but for those who have more money, i'll recommend to consider getting something closer to the city centre.

Over priced for the service
Our room was nice and clean and the breakfast was good. We did however run into a few problems. I ordered a fruit basket for arrival never received it asked twice for it and then told them to cancel it. In there customer service book it states breakfast can be served if you have to check out early, we asked for this and was told it would only open 10 minutes before regular time 7am which was doable but they never informed the staff so we did not get it.

Bra boende, dock kan man inte riktigt lita på busstrafiken i Rom och spårvagn ligger en bit bort. Dåligt internet på boendet. Funkade oftast inte i rummet. Frukost var bra och låg en supermarket precis utanför hotellet. Det är en rejäl promenad till stadskärnan men om man klarar längre promenader (ca 30 min-1 timme) är det bra! Mycket lugnt och tryggt område
