We are working with the internet company to improve service. However, the rooms in the Inn are solid metal and do interfere with the signal and different devices have different antenna gain.Flies innundate the airport area during certain months, and mosquitoes at other times. We do what we can including nets over food, electronic fly disablers, and placing some nasty fly catchers in other locations to try to keep them away from the hotel. We also work with health officials to make sure that the neighboring fields are maintaining their plant population to keep insects down.

Thanks for the review. We usually have drivers on call 24 hours a day and charge 6 for airport pickup and 4 for a dropoff (per room not per person) and we're glad it worked out for you.

We are the only hotel in Managua that has a 250kva CAT generator and supplies air conditioning to guests even when the power is out. The most you will get from other hotels is hallway lighting.That being said, due to an unusual system malfunction, the switch wasn't transferring the generator on. A plate is being reordered. That being said, no other hotel would have given you air conditioning during the local loss of power either.As to the taxi, we charge 15 for a taxi into town. Unlike a street cab, our guys can't pick up someone from downtown to defray costs. With gas at 5 a gallon, and a round trip to downtown being 29 km. and taking about an hour total of driver time, exactly what should we charge? In the USA where gas is only 3.50 a gallon, Uber charges me 15 for a 10 minute ride. So perhaps you are in an alternative reality as to pricing.However your claim that there are no taxis is not correct. You can use the App "in driver" and they will come or you can take a quick walk to the gas station (5 minutes) and get a cab on the highway.

Airport Inn consists of small sleeping rooms with private bathroom, hot water, and air conditioning for around $30 plus tax. We include towels and shampoo body wash. If you did not have a towel you should have asked the front desk. During high turnover when we are completely full sometimes the towels aren't done before the rooms are made up. This is rare. We do not provide free bar soap, but it is sold. Bar soap is a waste as guests stay only one night. It was over 500 pounds of disposed bar soap per year to the local landfill. Liquid soap, under these circumstances, is a logical alternative and we do not charge for it. As far as breakfast, we don't earn any profit from the $3.50 charged. If you think $3.50 is alot for a breakfast including the 15% tax we pay the government, we really have no idea what price point you believe would be fair. Across the street is our sister hotel Airport X Managua which has larger rooms and includes breakfast for a $12 to $15 higher price point. It depends what you need or desire. Airport Inn is just what it says, small comfortable rooms for a good night sleep. It's not a honeymoon suite for $30 in a location where we pay the electric company about $13 per room per night in electricity and $4 for water and $2 in propane to heat the hot water.

It is not a usual event that we do not have fresh towels. Due to being unusually full the night before, coupled with a group that actually stole towels a few days prior, we ran into the low availability. It was damp as it was not fully dry. The staff probably should have tried to locate one from a different room, and we explained that to them as a response to this episode. In addition, we purchased additional towels. So we apologize for the unusual occurrence.
