Dear guest, Thank you for staying with us, the small boutique hotel. And it seems you felt unhappy mostly because of the experience of renting a motorcycle. I hereby express my deep apologies. This is the first time I heard about this case, if you can contact me to tell me the details I will be very grateful.( because Expedia platform does not allow I leave my email address here, if possible pls leave message in hotel website, Thank you very much) Motorcycles are the main means of transportation in Koh Lanta, but there are also many traffic accidents caused by motorcycles every year. And hotel motorcycle rental services are provided by external vendors. But this is not an interface for us to shirk responsibility, to ensures guests' safety, hotel keeps motorcycle rental policy followings: 1. our hotel ask staffs to check with guests about the experience of riding scooter and to remind the risk to ride safely. 2. We require rental agency/mechanics to check all the motorcycle regularly. 3. There is a sticker on all motorcycles with contact information for the car rental agency, and all guests also can contact hotel in case of emergency and need help. 4. Starting from today, I already arrange hotel mechanic to double check all scooters by ourselves, in case the supplier missing somethings. Sincere apologies to you again, pls help me to find the reason and improve our services. Houben hotel always focus on guest experience and always puts service guests first priority.

Dear guest, Thank you for your staying with us, and high rating even through we still have a lot to improve. We took over this hotel in middle of Dec, no enough time to renew for high season. We will upgrade the hotel facility but keep the style of the hotel for new season. I remember your suggestion about the tree, we will prune it. And we will improve the menu as well, hope next time we can try it. There are two important points, I need to thank you here: 1. about the neighbor who threw the rubbish to the ocean, I was not hotel on that day when I got the video recorded by our lovely guests. We contacted with local government immediately to stop them. Everyone has a responsibility to protect this beautiful island, which is why we are here and love this island. I have gone down the cliff with my staffs to clear the trash there, and I found the way to bay, it is also very beautiful rocks and caves, I hope i have the chance to show you there. 2. Thank you for remind me to keep staffs enjoy their job, I will find a solution. Because I believe the staffs are the real treasure of this hotel.
