we had the Bamboo Master Suite. The room is fantastic, highlight is the rainforest shower that also has a great orange led light setting. The roof top is nicely done with a 2x1 meter pool that can be heated at night. Flaw is that there´s no sunshade so at noon you literally get fried there. Can´t be that hard to install a shade in my opinion. Also the heater in the whirlpool wasn´t working. I told the service at the reception twice, they had mechanics working on it and told us it´s fixed but it wasn´t. We just gave up after telling them the 2nd time it´s not working since the water is still kind of warm but still, for the price they´re asking ( $550USD per night) you expect things to work. Breakfast was fantastic, the dinner is quite fancy and didn´t match our taste, but taste is a personal thing and others will probably like the food a lot.

We really enjoyed our first time to villa flamingos. it is the furthest hotel from the port. taxi rides into town on ATV is about 200 pesos or $12 one way. The front desk is very accommodating. Ride the bicycles that are provided for free instead of paying for taxi. We were in room 18 with very nice accommodation ask for rooms in the higher numbers like 43 if you want a Sunset view. Breakfast was incredible every day. the beach bar keeps strange hours and isn’t always open when you want a drink so you can order from restaurant. Housekeeping was unbelievable and they did it very early so your room was nice and fresh all day. Would definitely go back.

The staff was excellent! Especially Ivan, who helped with transportation, and Nacho and Jesus who were with the restaurant at the hotel. It was beautiful and the rooms were quite nice. We’ll be back!

Hotel was very nice for holbox. Location is not great. Beach was full of both garbage and seaweed. In the hotels defense there was a storm surge that flooded the beach and lagoon in front of the hotel with sea weed and garbage. Staff worked hard to do what they could.

El lugar es un paraíso, y sin duda tienen la mejor ubicación si de ir a relajarse se trata. Lindo ver que enfrente de la playa hay un domo de arena por el cual puedes caminar tanto hacia la zona hotelera como a una reserva para avistamiento de aves. Que no gustó: 1. Playa privada llena de sargazo, no se puede usar. (El equipo estaba limpiando constantemente, la realidad es que si es una actividad qué hay que hacer diario, honestamente no es algo que deban ofrecer como algo bueno del hotel, deberían poner letras chiquitas “la playa no se puede usar”. 2. Hay 3 albercas, las 3 están heladas. Incluso parece que una es un jacuzzi. Cómo veníamos de un temporal (justo el día anterior a nuestra llegada había terminado) nos comentaron que tomaba un rato en calentar, JAMÁS sucedió. El clima estaba “fríon” era importante ofrecer agua tibia para deleite de los huéspedes, estaban abandonadas las albercas. 3. La carta de alimentos en el restaurante, muy básica, si bien el desayuno era “rico” y “variado” (si eres gringo y/o europeo), la neta con la variedad de alimentos que ofrece la región e incluso, con las cartas de los vecinos como “las hamacas”, o el restaurante Luuma, se quedan por por debajo. Todas las noches buscamos salir a otro lado a comer. No todas las opciones buenas, pero si mucho más variadas, tanto en el pueblo como en otros hoteles. 4. PRECIOS ALTÍSIMOS para cualquier mexicano, incluso si es muy rico, no entenderías por qué te cobran 300 pesos por una tostada.

All in all a Great stay
It was a great stay despite a bad start. Thanks to Carla for helping us change our room and upgrading us after some disrespectful guests used loud music at night. Note: it is formally forbidden. All guests signed the resort rules at check in. I would not mind up to 10pm or 11pm. But not after midnight. Rooms are great, while for our 1st room a shelf under the sink of the very tiny bathroom would have been of help. I had to put my stuff in the toilet. The balcony with the view on the sea is fantastic. The food was delicious for both breakfast and dinner. Great waiters, thanks to Jesus and Alan. There is no sand beach at that resort being at the end of the strand, I would say the minus point, but 3 pools, with a stunning view on the sea. The advantage is it is quiet. It is in front of the sand bank, convenient to reach and walk up to Punto mosquito. Unfortunately, algae had invaded the beach, giving off a nauseating odor. All in all a relaxing stay, what we were looking for.

Over all, the stay at the hotel and service is excellent.! Healthy, variable options of food and fresh! Nice options for swimming between the pools and beach. It’s a plus that the hotel offer paddle boards and bicycles, it was our way of moving around the island. Thanks Holbox 💚

Las camas y almohadas incómodas. Llegamos después de la lluvia y había muchísimo sargazo y mal olor. Un olor insoportable que no dejó aprovechar el hotel. Es importante tomar eso en cuenta porque así no se puede disfrutar el hotel. Para lo que se pagó por noche no quedamos satisfechos. Muy alto el precio para lo que se recibe. Según nos dijeron es mejor llegar en pleno verano para ver el paisaje y la playa. La comida normal nada espectacular.

it’s a beautiful location don’t get me wrong but overall tired - whilst the staff try, my entire experience is ruined by the excessive demand and pressure to tip …I was chased out of the breakfast restaurant on my first day because I hadn’t signed ? Why do I need to sign when breakfast is included? oh because you haven’t left a tip ? all over the world I have never tipped daily for breakfast service. I will give something to F&B be at the end of my stay but I’m not paying a tip every day. Then at checkout and amount is suggested to me to tip for Gardening and maintenance !? Sorry I’m paying near on £400 a night for what is essentially basic accommodation with a bohemian aesthetic - that should cover the person raking up the leaves ?! I am a really generous person and I always tip housekeeping at the end of my day but I detest been dictated to what I shouldn’t shouldn’t have and to whom? avoid if you want to chill without feeling cheap
