Beautiful hotel adjacent to the Winspear Opera House. Fantastic staff and quality restaurant on site. Parking is valet only and $45/day but it’s quick, efficient and reasonable for the duration of any stay. The rooftop pool is a nice area to relax. Highly recommended!

This was by far the worst stay I have ever experienced. I called and requested an early check in and I was assured we could check in at 1pm. Who knew that would actually turn into a 6pm?! What happened? Let’s see, got assigned a room that was a complete mess as the previous guest had just left it. Then was told to wait they’d make it right. We were then assigned another room and upon scanning my room key to get in, I walked in on another couples very personal moment. They were mortified and I was speechless. Then, more apologies, and assigned to another room and guess what, another dirty room as house keeping had just started cleaning it. We finally got into a room at 6pm. The trip was a TOTAL disaster. Most of the staff were trying to be as helpful and accommodating as they could given the situation but Scott was the nastiest, most dismissive, and unnecessarily rude employee I came across during my already terrible stay.

Front staff provided very poor guidance on how to park my car. Got trapped in a locked building above the parking basement until a security guard came to let me out. Guard said this happens all the time. Almost missed my event due to this.

One of the best hotel experiences in my life. Facilities are new and clean; staffs are kind; and the gym is really well equipped. I will definitely stay this hotel if I visit Dallas again.

the hotel is in a quiet area of the city. i imagine most people stay at this property to be close to the arts scene which I can appreciate. We didn't have time for much except a brisk walk to Klyde Warren Park (which was our only planned activity for our less than 24 hour visit) and a zip through the Dallas Museum of Art. Hotel location is excellen; staff are courteous and kind; room was comfortable and CLEAN. We got in rather late and the weather was cold and rainy; we opted to eat at Ellie's at the hotel. Food was solid and filling. Salmon, short ribs, chopped salad--all really good! We would stay here again if ever in the area. The only pie-in-the-sky improvement we could hope for is the installation of a hot tub or jacuzzi on premises.

My experience here was absolutely amazing from the time I walked into the hotel, throughout the rest of my stay. Scott and Jordan greeted me and I felt as if I landed in great hands from the start. My hotel room was clean. All around the room were personalized notes dedicated to helping me become acquainted with my new temporary space. There were little surprises that I haven’t had other hotels offer, such as my remote in a “fresh remote bag” letting me know that it’s been sanitized. Personalized cards to let me know that my housekeeper’s name is Jenny (who did a great job btw). Normally hotels try to up-charge you for everything but they have brought me countless bottles of water free of charge. They even sent me up handcrafted candies before bed which is a very sweet gesture, pun intended. There is a restaurant in the building (Ellie’s) that serves Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner- so you never actually have to leave the hotel if you didn’t want to. But, if you choose to- there are other nearby restaurants, food trucks, museums and other great attractions. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and the customer service was superb, universally.

There’s a lot to recommend this hotel, but also a few red flags. The good: The building itself is very nice and the art in and around the hotel is engaging. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal if you are in Dallas for arts-related activities. The bed and pillows are comfortable and the comforter is the fluffiest I’ve come across in any hotel and it breathes well. Ellie’s is a good in-hotel restaurant; the hamburger is excellent. And for some pleasant reason, the antechamber between the hotel lobby and the street smells like a really good steak. The bad: The price is high. The floor-to-ceiling windows, while creating an enjoyable view, are not thick enough and let in way, way too much street noise that repeatedly woke us up. (The tiny testes brigade of Ferrari and Lamborghini drivers racing along Ross Street and planes flying overhead don't help.) The one time we ordered room service, it was terrible—no butter, salt or pepper and by the time we called and they brought it up our eggs were cold an undesirable; they substituted plain white toast for the thick Texas toast sourdough we’d ordered and had in the restaurant because they were out without telling us (and didn’t include butter or jam); and the coffee cake was more like an uncooked square of pancake dough. So we ended up paying $60 for a breakfast that was basically inedible. Overall: I’m glad we stayed there and would probably do so again, but some details need to be smoothed out.

Other than our stay being too expensive, we had a delightful stay. Every employee except valet parker was fabulous! Our waiter at Ellie's, maid last night, Emilio that checked us in, guy that checked us out...ALL were great except that one young man in valet parking
