Generally property is in a nice area. It is a well maintained older property. On arrival we found the fridge/freezer was not cooling down. Within an hour management provided a smaller fridge as a temporary fix and a new fridge freezer was fitted the next day - impressive response. Otherwise a well equipped kitchen. The king sized bed was very comfortable and bedroom quiet so slept well. The bathroom could do with an upgrade. It had a bath/shower which can be tricky for older people to get in and out of. The shower door frame has a sharp metal edge that you need to avoid when getting in/out. Nice hot and cold pools on Level One. Good cafes and take-outs nearby. Nice coastal walks. Secure underground car park. On bus route.

It was a very pleasant stay at the Scarborough Beach Resort. The managers were ultra pleasant and helpful. We had a very restful stay for 2 nights while we were looking at houses to buy in the areas of Redcliffe, Scarborough, Rothwell and Newport. We'll come back to the Resort again.

Beware of hitel.com false advertising
Great stay. Hotels.com had advertised a 3 bed with Seaviews. The place doesn’t have 3 bed with sea views! But the place happily changed us to a 2 bed with views.

The one bedroom unit was spacious, clean and tidy.. The down side, it required minor maintenance. Once this was passed onto the property manager, it was taken under control.

This property is ideally situated right opposite the beach and is in a quiet location despite building works going on at the moment next door. The amenities at the resort are excellent. There is a number of cafes open for breakfast and lunch but for dinner you'll have to venture further afield.

Upon arrival it took 5 attempts to be let me through the entrance as they considered my voice male? The unit was full of mould and smelt awful.

1. Property cleanliness in bathrooms is terrible 2. On check in no bags in bins or tea towels or washing liquid or dishwasher tablets 3. Car parking spot terrible for visitor meant to be included never enough spots to park felt unsafe to park outside 4. Sleeping and terrible noise happened got up to see and bubbles pouring out of toilet all over bathroom floor unable to contact anyone to help and if we did we found out would have charged a call out fee Plumbing from someone else had obviously came to our toilet plumbing really disgusting and un hygienic

It was a nice apartment. Little disappointing though. There were marks on living ceiling (mould? Maybe something from air conditioner? When the blinds were rolled down they were fairly dirty. There were other peoples belongings in property. Empty drink bottles under bed, childrens toys/pencils in lounge. Signs up asking not to use items. Safe/ stove exhaust.

Shower in need of a good clean to get mold off tile grout. Policy of allowing smoking on balconies affects use of adjoining balcony and being able to leave balcony door open for fresh air.

For three night stay no clean towels, linen, soap or even toilet paper replaced. Bathroom was dirty on arrival. Looked like urine was on the wall near toilet paper. Was deceived when booking - room had no balcony or view. Very ordinary

Location good. Check in pleasant and friendly, as were the other staff. Apartment size (3Br) good. View excellent. Apartment: Kitchen light didn’t work (had to alert staff on D2 to have fixed). Was fixed quickly (weekday). Dishwasher did not work. Clearly hadn’t for a while as the crockery and cutlery was dirty and needed cleaning before use. Alerted property management but because on a Saturday morning , too late for them to have fixed for the rest of our stay. Not wanting to be pretentious, but not what we paid for. Also having to pre wash all dishes before use is not ok. We weren’t left any cleaning packs in the apartment on arrival. So no laundry powder, dishwasher liquid or tea towel. The staff did rectify this when we let them know the next morning. They also supplied extra dish washing liquid sachets when we advised the dishwasher was broken. The couch was old, uncomfortable and seriously lumpy. Carpets old and in dire need of deep cleaning and replaced. Bathrooms functional. Step in shower (into spa bath) in Main bedroom. Could be an accessibility issue for some or a hazardous situation for others. Apartment has the tiny “sugar” ants everywhere in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. We had to go out on the night of arrival to a service station to purchase insect spray. Kids were eaten alive by mozzies the first night. Cleaning crew left their windows open prior to our arrival. One of the kids is allergic so that was not ideal. Mostly it

The room needs som upgrading, alot of mould around the window area and a sensor alarm going off for 2 whole nights. The building itself and facilities are great.

Close to the beach across the road and cafes. Although there was a very strong Citrus smell for the 1st 24hrs causing sneezing and sore weeping eyes had to leave window open and AC on to blow smell out, otherwise my stay was ok was there while husband was in hospital having surgery.

Wifi wouldnt work. Tried to contact Reception they had left, after hrs contact no help. Was told onsite manager would contact the next day and never heard or saw them. This was frustrating with 4 children as we couldnt access things like Netflix etc.

Great spa, pool, sauna. Great location opp beach. Clean but very small room. No teaspoons, 1 soup spoon, 1 desert spoon. No room servicing ie: no change of towels, no bin empty, no refills of coffee, tea etc in the whole 5 days. No laundry facility, no hair drier but did have iron and ironing board. Flashing lights outside window like strobe light in room.
