"Not too far from Stonetown. Good for value. Construction next door made balcony view undesirable. Overall would stay again."

"Nice location with only steps to the water front, restaurants, boats to prison island and the Freddie Mercury museum. Breakfast was lovely and staff super friendly and helpful."

"This is a hotel of opposites. Great location in stone town but down a dark alley you can’t quite drive to the door. Helpful reception but we’d booked 3 rooms and they initially gave us 2. "The view overlooking the beach during sunset is breathtaking. The weather was just perfect during end of Aug- beginning of Sep. The place is very well maintained with the staff being always helpful with a smile. When departing, they provided free shuttle to the airport."

"Spice Palace Hotel was a great place to stay in Stone Town. The breakfast was better than I expected (omelette served, location was center of Stone Town, staff was very helpful and price was great. My only complaint was that the pool could have been warmer. I would stay here again. Stayed 5 nights."

"I was staying just one night to see stone town. It was well located to walk around, close to everything. The staff was great! The room was clean. Good WiFi. Breakfast good. Water pressure good. Reasonable rate. I would stay there again."
