"First experience with a smart hotel room. Stayed three nights and still found that we could not completely figure out the electronic parts. Lights in bathroom would shut off when in the bath relaxing and trying to read a book (had to stand to reactivate them which was annoying) and room blinds/lights would randomly open/close at times (still can’t figure out why). Laundry facilities are limited access - only available when reception is manned. Location was excellent!!! Close to beach, food...

"The hotel is in a great location in Haarlem - easy access to the Old town, lots of restaurants and a short walk to the train station. It is easy to take the short train trip to Amsterdam if you want. Haarlem is more relaxed and a great alternative to staying in Amsterdam. The hotel staff was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay in this hotel"

"Hotel itself is nice and convenient for Bloemendaal station (about a ten minute walk) where you can get a train that takes you into Amsterdam in about 25 minutes. Breakfast was basic but nice and the rooms were clean. Unfortunately, my booking hadn't gone through properly from Expedia so they weren't expecting that I had 2 kids with me (even though they were showing on my booking). "Great location for exploring Haarlem. Spacious double rooms in the atrium building. Good evening meal menu and lovely restaurant staff. Outstanding breakfast. Excellent secure bicycle storage."

"Nice location right on the Quay, and 5 mins from the old town & port. We asked to drop luggage off before checking in (ferry arrived at 1000), but the staff went above and beyond and had our room ready early. That was a really nice touch. The bus stop is 2 mins walk, and from there it is very easy to connect to Amsterdam, Haarlem & anywhere else you can think of."

"Great spacious room. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in while travelling. Great variety for breakfast. Staff were helpful. The only issue was the airport shuttle. If you a charging for its service, make sure you send a big enough vehicle to accommodate all your customers. Very frustrating to be told there isn’t enough space and you’ll have to wait for next bus. Also, have front desk inform you that the charge is 1/2 price if you are a Marriott member."
