"A beautiful hotel. My room was large, comfortable and very relaxing. However, I hated the neighborhood. It’s a sterile neighborhood of primarily government offices. And just trying to find the entrance to the subway was exhausting. Close by is the Shinjuku station which is one of the most complicated train stations in the world. It is in Shinjuku, which is considered the nightlife district of Tokyo. But the nightlife district of Shinjuku is nowhere near this hotel. I ended up taking taxis and Ubers almost everywhere. My largest complaint was that the restaurants were extremely expensive. They did not seem to have one simple medium to medium low price restaurant. If you walk some distance you can find lower price Japanese restaurants including a remarkably good Japanese Denny’s! No grand slams. Good hearty Japanese food. But I have zero complaints about my room and the service from the staff. By the way, the hotel is gigantic."
