"Stayed one night with my daughter. Rooms clean and adequate for stay. Staff very friendly and accommodating especially Jessica on Reception. Hotel good location for catching bus into York. Very happy!"

"Be mindful when booking one of the annex rooms. They are really not very nice and miles from the main hotel with failing lifts and narrow stairways. The night staff were helpful but the room and awful outlook wasn’t something they could resolve. Not helped by an extremely loud party and mention of same again the following night. I absolutely wouldn’t book again."

"The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the meals we had were lovely. It was busy on the Saturday evening and just one bar man on meant he was rushing between the bar and restaurant, he could have done with extra staff to help him. The toilet was difficult to flush and the extractor fan didn't work. We still enjoyed our stay."

"We have visited York on numerous occasions over the years and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. The central location meant that it was only a short walk to the main attractions. The staff were helpful and courteous with check in and out being swift and easy. The choice and quality of food at breakfast was excellent. The rooms were modern, fresh and clean with all the amenities you would expect. The bathroom was light and airy with a powerful shower which was easy to use. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel ."
