"Fantastic property, the interiors were new and fully rehabbed! Felt like a new property, the location was perfect, the only drawback was every time I walked out there were either 1) restaurant workers smoking on the entryway 2) people congregating smoking/drinking by the entryway 3) homeless people sleep on the entryway.
Still 4.8/5 stars, found the place great, only mildly dodgy entryway. "
"Everything was great, very close to the old town, area without noise, and the staff very friendly. The room was great and spacious taking also into consideration our teens needs. My only recommendation is related to the breakfast served. Croissants could be fresh and not the ones in plastic bag with preservatives, the cereals could be in nice jars and not in the supermarket packaging, the cheese, ham and vegetables could be sliced better. This would improve the aesthetic of the buffet."
"A great location - 10 mins from the old town and 5 mins to a tube station. We only used tge tube on one day and walked to everything else. Reception are supposed to be there 7am to 7pm, but seem to wander off! However, they are very speedy to arrive if you WhatsApp or ring the number displayed. It's a small hotel (18 rooms) so that's why there isn't a 24 hour reception. Everything is very new with lovely feather pillows and duvets and a nice bathroom with fluffy towels. "This is a beautiful, excellent, historic hotel in the best part of old town Bucharest. The bed was comfortable, with a selection of pillows. The food at breakfast and in the restaurant was delicious. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel is walkable and interesting, with many of the best restaurants, theaters and museums in Bucharest within a few minutes walk. "The location is excellent and the suite is large, comfortable, and quiet. While the area outside is surrounded by nightlife, it is silent inside the suite. It is a short walk from public transportation and many sites. The staff are communicative and were very helpful in arranging airport pickup. I highly recommend Matisse Bucharest Old Town. "
