This family-run hotel offers genuine warmth and hospitality that makes you feel truly welcomed. The historic building has plenty of character, though some fixtures like the bathroom showers show their age. While it's not luxury accommodation, the authentic charm and personal care from the owners create a memorable stay. Perfect for those who value genuine hospitality over modern amenities
The people were wonderful, accommodating, and just plain nice. I would recommend some kind of anti slip item for the shower as it is very smooth and slick. Otherwise, everything was excellent.
Great gravel parking lot with easy access to the rooms. Beautiful outdoor area for lounging. Room was cool and mattress was very comfortable. Loved our stay!
The chapter house was a great surprise, a really nice hotel with character in a very nice part of Dennis. The staff was friendly, the bar had great cocktails, and the atmosphere was excellent. I would highly recommend it, a much better experience than your standard hotel.
The property managers were very accommodating and friendly. We liked the character and history of the property. The central location is very convenient.
My stay was peaceful at this beautiful bed and breakfast. The location is convenient to all routes and activities. The staff is warm and inviting. The sleeping quarters are clean perfectly decorated. The bed is so comfortable. Thank you James and staff for a welcoming stay.
Very large bedroom, with everything thought of, excellent to have Le Labo toiletries! Lovely outdoor area, it was great to eat breakfast out there and bar excellent.
Visiting from the UK we found this hotel a perfect location for us. Hotel was perfectly clean and beautifully renovated for such an old building, it had everything we needed. Local village walkable, with a couple of shops and places to eat all with 5-10 minutes. Nearest large town was Hyannis, but central to anywhere else on the Cape.
Lovely property. Not completely worth the high price tag (high humidity in the room, noisy above the kitchen, staff were ok, not super pleasant), but I guess that's the price you pay for a few summer nights in Cape Cod. Our room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Location wasn't far from most places we wanted to visit.
The Chapter House is an absolutely beautiful property. My husband and I went to The Cape for our anniversary and couldn't be happier with our stay here. It was clean and had a very calm and relaxing feel to it. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. I cant imagine staying anywhere else at The Cape after staying at The Chapter House. Absolute 5 star experience!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The place was very charming but the air conditioning was not sufficient with the small window unit. The staff were very kind and helpful.
Chapter House was very clean and organized. We loved the daily breakfast offerings of overnight oats, yogurt soufflé, and tasty pastries. Coffee/tea was always ready, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The rooms were clean and the rooms/towels refreshed daily. The staff was very helpful with offering suggestions for daily activities and best kept secrets. Cocktail drinks were refreshing and expertly made. We were overall happy with our stay at the chapter house.
We had a wonderful stay. We will be going back. The place is charming and the hosts are so nice. This is the place to be to rest and have a great vacation. At a 11 minute road trip from a great beach, Mayflower beach, where we went three wonderful days, and an hour from Provincetown. We had an amazing stay at the Chapter House. Thank you.
After tiring of typical hotel/motel situations, this was a delightful discovery. Well located on RT6A, we were in "striking distance" of restaurants both high end and others. The room was clean and pleasant. Access to the living room and dining areas in the house was easy and delightful. A continental breakfast in the morning set the day up wonderfully! The host was easy to work with and just a nice guy!! We will definitely return.
I was really pleasantly impressed by my staying at the Chapter house. I was there just for 2 nights with my family and I did not regret our choice since the property is really nice, especially the space outside for enjoying a drink or making breakfast. Not knowing Cape cod we were not quite sure where to stay in the area but after visiting I would say the position is just perfect for exploring “the Cape”. Multiple choice for restaurants nearby and we discovered also a few nice markets were you can easily grab some food for your day. Continental breakfast was good with high quality pastries and good coffee.. if they offered also eggs and bacon it would have been perfect.

There are a lot of steps at this property. Our room was up a fairly steep, skinny staircase which made it challenging to get our large suitcases to our room. It is an old building with lots of character. Room was large but bathroom was small and not really able to accommodate two people at a time. Limited breakfast but overnight oats and yogurt parfait was good. Had a great patio with a fire pit. Overall nice but would not stay again.
