+ free early check in, the staff are polite and helpful, big room with bath tub, nice view in the dining area, good internet, good pressure for the shower, cheaper to book online,
- there's no hot shower in the room, the breakfast was poor, no elevator, the AC wasn't cool, had problems with the electricity in the room - it seems like they don't maintain their room facilities properly.
Staff were extremely kind and helpful. Room was small, but basic. Good Asian breakfast with nice view to River. Backside of hotel is slum area. Hotel is very far from everything

The overall experience with this hotel was actually fine. Two major problems are with the property condition and the laundry service. A motor inside the room makes absolutely annoying noice when triggered by the generator during blackout. Secondly, the laundry service destroyed some of our clothing. We used the service for a few times. It was fine in the beginning, but we trusted the service way too much without checking the condition of our shirts returned to us. At least three of them were ruined; they were accidentally bleached and left with white or dark-orange stripes and spots. The major problem is that we were charged for that service and weren’t informed of and compensated for this mistake. Very disappointing.
Hotellet var fint til prisen. Det meste personale snakkede ikke engelsk, men de var meget hjælpsomme og gjorde meget for at, vi havde et godt ophold. Alt i alt et positivt besøg.

Too far from anything
The staff was GREAT! Amazing service. But unfortunatly, that’s the only good thing. The hotel is WAAAY to far away from anything. That alone makes me say not to stay there if you’re a tourist. The breakfast was either rice or noodles and bread with jam; that’s it.
The receptionist did not understand English. Instead of changing linen which I requested for, they changed my room in my absence. And moved my belongings there.
The pipe under the wash basin in new room leaks. It even leaks when hotel guests in adjacent room turn on their water supply.
I felt at home and the staff are very kind and loving people. They are so good I had to extend my stay with them and their manager and his wife are lovely people. When next I come to Myanmar, I will stay no other place than Great Glory Hotel if am to stay a hotel, they are my people.

Must work harder to maintain standard.
This is my 4th time staying there. Used to be better but now quality has dropped. The breakfast has limited quantity and only one choice. The staff spoke minimal to no English, communication beyond bringing water was difficult. A good thing is that a new bridge has just opened near the hotel, so it makes going downtown a bit faster.

close to airport
This is a good hotel for the price; the staff is friendly and helpful. It is reasonably close to the airport. The breakfast is adequate.
This hotel was not as it seemed in the photos. There was dampness on the ceilings especially in the bathroom. There was no shower curtain and the bathroom was very poor in general. There were cobwebs on the walls and although the towels were washed they were stained. We left the make up our room sign on the door but it was not cleaned and toilet paper was not refilled. There were rabbits in cages in the lobby! It was extremely loud outside the hotel, even with earplugs it was still very loud. Breakfast selection was very poor, evening menu was ok. On the positive side the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is also a very long distance from the city of Yangon over an hours drive. Overall a very disappointing stay in this hotel.
Hotel staff can speak english well and they are service mind. Breakfast on top floor is good location, you can see the river view.
Anyway this hotel is no elevator,so if you stay on higher floor, it will be tired.
Zat redelijk ver van centrum vliegveld en station.

Just a beginning
I booked this hotel on yhe stated info on the web in Hotel.com as said the distance from city centre is very close by with 6km. But the truth is not. In Yangon city centre probably implies the downtown but this hotels locates in a township in suburb.

Ambivalent
Would have been a nice room but around 10 p.m. they were moving furniture around in the restaurant above until about 1 a.m. (both nights!) Incredibly loud scraping and banging of heavy furniture kept waking me up and I was trying to rest before a 24 hour plus flight. I asked to be switched but the night staff said no rooms were available. Odd, since the hotel seemed very empty. Also the power kept switching off and on- every few minutes sometimes. I think it was a faulty breaker box in the room because it happened even when we were on generator and the hall lights stayed on.
