Great old hotel undergoing renovation. Spectacular position looking over the ocean. Bistro menu was a bit expensive but we enjoyed our meals. Rooms were small and compact: ok for a single night. A few things in the room weren’t quite right - like the fridge in the cupboard being iced up because there was insufficient ventilation. Stay while you can before renovations finish and they start charging gastro pub prices.

We stayed in the signature rooms. Phenomenal view. Very nice and modern room. Coffee and tea in room. No noise from the pub despite there being a band playing on the Saturday night. We did have the end room. Would stay again.

Parking was not always available as parking was on street. A busy hotel so hard to get a parking space. Queen room was not very big. Very compact. No space to relax

Did not get much sleep at all with the Dj playing exceptionally loud music till 1pm. The bass was so liquid the room was vibrating and then the staff decided to play music till 1.30pm while they cleaned up.

There was a band on until midnight below the room and made it impossible to sleep even with earplugs in extremely loud. Impossible to have a conversation in the room. . I know it’s a pub but this should be mentioned in there advertising. Only very limited on street parking. Nice location and great as a pub Would be a much better experience when the bands aren’t playing.

We had a lovely sea view from room. Room was clean. Found room hot no aircon did have a stand up fan tho which gave us some relief. The night we stayed thr was a band on which we watched a bit of but was very noisy from our room when we went to bed. Wouldnt of minded so much but was only thr 1 night passing thru. Should of been advised on this when booking. Other than that it was a nice place

The view over the ocean is magnificent. We saw wales many times. Music was good but loud. The shared bathroom was a long way from our room- will ask about that next time. A fire alarm meant that we had to evacuate early in the morning. It was a false alarm which staff says happens often. No response from fire brigade. Bed linen felt quality but there was crumbs in the bed when we first got in.

Breathtaking ocean view hotel

The hotel was situated on top of the hill overlooking the ocean and the lighthouse. The views from the hotel were spectacular and amazing. Did I mention breathtaking the staff at the hotel, especially at the reception we’re very kind, helpful and considerate.
