"Outstanding welcome and food"

"The room was spacious and attractive. The hotel overall is very well cared for and the staff seem to be very happy to work there - they are extremely helpful and friendly. The highlight of our stay was the truly delicious dinner we enjoyed - a very memorable, high-quality meal. The heating in our room was domestic style radiators and it was tricky to get the room temperature right, this was a minor detail."

"Lovely bedroom and bathroom. We were very warm and comfortable. Would suggest install a small handrail when going up the two steps into the bathroom would be a great help for the less able bodied. Really enjoyed being there and hope to return. "

"Lovely hospitality. Excellent food. Best duvet nice and warm duvet I have had when traveling. They go above and beyond to accommodate guests. Perfect get away for some quiet time in a traditional old pub in a small village walking distance from the train station. Right next to multiple hiking paths to famous hill tops."

"The restaurant was lovely and the staff very friendly. The food was good value for money. We went to Wentworth Woodhouse Flower Show and it is a very easy walk. There is also a large garden centre very near. There was plently of parking at the property and the bedroom was huge. Very good place to stay."

"Staff were excellent. Food very good. Appreciated group of 10 having separate area for meals. Not keen on the bath in the bedroom, nowhere reachable to put soap or shampoo. No washbasin in the toilet. Would be better to make shower room with toilet. Bath not easy to get in and out."

"Lovely small quiet hotel in a great area of Sheffield right next to Encliffe Park & walks into the Peak District. Friendly staff & lovely editions to the room, lovely toiletries, water & milk in the fridge & delicious homemade brownies. We got upgraded to a lovely room with a roll top bath. "

"A great place to stay at if you plan to visit Chatsworth or Bakewell area It is like going back in time, but still get to enjoy modern amenities. All staff we encountered with were all super nice and welcoming. The room was amazing and food was superb. "
